Early fancies:

I like a bit of Balance Sheet from a decent draw - hopefully jumps with them and keeps a good spot throughout.

Jet Aglow - Loved it's last win against the boys, hopefully same tactics and has a good c&d record - Also 3rd run after rest

Can't go against Legislate after it's last win - Futura to run on for 2nd and make Legislate work to the line

Futura is still my 1st pick for the Met but the way Legislate won on his return from his break since the July could reverse my order come Saturday.

Also leaning towards the same three

has the form to win the race doing handstands

Should win easy...............unless it hasn't trained on ????????
Certainly hasn't looked like the horse of old, but maybe just been prepping!

So why the 'cloak and dagger' stuff  Surely they have to give a reason for scratching the horse - whether it is a maiden or a champ, same rules should apply ? What about the runner that missed out on a chance to run in the race but could not get in because AoW was in the race - if it was never the intention of running him, why enter him

Rob, you good with merit rating - for me the key to MLJets success on Saturday is whether he is really a MR 102, or less? How do you rate him? - thanks in advance.

I've played the double :-

08/01/2015 20:14:33 408354 HORSE RACING KENILWORTH Race 4 EVENING STORM Fixed Win 6.25 - Active
08/01/2015 20:14:33 408354 HORSE RACING KENILWORTH Race 6 POWER KING Fixed Win 3.33 - Pending

Evening Storm, hoping Van Niekerk will sit a lot handier from a good draw this time round against Valerio. Evening Storm does have a 2.0kg pull at the weights with Valerio for a 1.85 length beating. Whilst Night In Seattle does appear the one to beat, this horse more often that not doesn't get away on terms, and could be chasing from the get-go if not jumping on terms. She is a 3 year old one time winner conceding weight to older two and three time winners, so I'm going to take her on at 6/1.

Power King has conceded weight to Helderberg Blue in their last three meetings, Saturday although they meet at level weights, in theory, the swing would be in Power King's favour to hopefully reverse the placings. In Power King's last three runs, he appears to have valid excuses for maybe not winning, but was far from disgraced. Saturday if the pace is on, this horse will go very close despite jumping from draw 12.

Race 4: Valerio never looked like being passed at any stage last time and if allowed a soft lead with Striker up will lead this field a merry dance, the only danger for me is the unexposed Fire Master who's maiden formline is solid
Race 6: Helderberg Blue has beaten Power King last 3 starts and don't see anything changing on sat, biggest danger for me is Johnny Rockets who has a devastating finnish and might outrun HB late

Race 3, maidens: time for dessert or #8 MISS PRISS; reasonable form for a longshot; dont be breaking the bank at 20;s.

Race 4, handicap: #2 VALERIO; impressive gun to tape winner last time; Striker is hot and trainer Marcus is in form; I think worth 5/1.

Race 5, pinnacle: #4 CRESCENDO; good form for a longshot; showed a little class in KZN; trainer Drier is in form; don't be breaking the bank at 20/s.

Race 6, bookmakers' benevolent fund: one thing is certain - the bookies won't be getting rich from your punting strategy today; #4 DISCO AL; didnt like the Big T but before that a popular winner in PE; jockey Marwing is hot and so too is trainer Ramsden; again dont be breaking the bank at 20's.

Race 7, the Politician; #7 LIQUID MERCURY; hasn't stopped winning since an impressive winner in November; going for five-in-a-row including a win on Wednesday; a double for the hot combo of Marwing and Ramsden; I think worth 5/1.

Race 8, Paddock: #1 HAMMIE'S HOOKER; last two runs were sprints, before that a bridesmaid to Beach Beauty and before that an impressive winner of the Tibouchina; jockey Fayd'herbe is hot and trainer Bass is in form; I think worth 9/2.

Race 9, the big one, the Queens Plate: #1 LEGISLATE; 'nuff said; nap him.

Prosperous punting B)
