Heard all horses belonging to Mitchell with Crawford moved not only Futura
Freeman would want Futura for stud and an annuity income as the manager

I really feel for Brett in this situation, a hard working, ethical, nice guy who is in the middle of a partners spat and is now being punished. This is a strange old game and karma does play a role as i still believe that horses find trainers & owners.

I wonder what Brett's stats are when compared to the number of horses in his stable??? Probably the win/place% to number of horses in the yard ratio is the best in the province...

The owners are all entitled to do what they want but to punish Brett because of his relationship with Ian Longmore is really unfortunate. (I make these statements and assertions based on the information available, invariably in these situations the full story is hardly ever revealed.)

Had a lot of angry messages Some Supporting Ian and some not

Had one from a very prominent member of Cape racing that said "just wait and see who the new partner is"

things will look clearer

Bob i am sure things will become clearer as the story unfolds however it is not going to change the fact that Brett has lost a horse that he took from nothing to the best in SA at the moment. There is a connection between humans and horses, this is even more so when it comes to trainers and their horses.....this is shitty for their stable either way.

Ian would be entitled to make any decision he wanted to and the consequence cannot surely be that Brett is punished because the other owners did not get what they want..... surely.

Ironically it is the magnificent way that Bret trained and placed the horse that ultimately lead to him losing it..

On breeding to win Mr Adams was telling Julie that he had an exciting new stallion for SA and that he had bought a share in the horse but was not at liberty to disclose what the horse was... could it be ;)

Disgrace is strong imo , rough and there is probably more still to come out

But just think about it

If I had had the money to buy Futura I would probably have gave him to the Shams :)

So after the fall out between the owners and the sale of the horse it's probably invitable that he was shifted..
