So I have been watching this horse closely (like many of the boys on this ere' forum)... Am I the only one who thinks that he has a lively chance at the VDJ? @ 100/1? What am I missing? I reckon he could doddle the 1900 and go on for the big one. The MDK factor is also what makes this more than just "hopeful". Any thoughts around this horse guys?

*Smirks* ... Was 40/1, saddle slips at the vaal still gets up, JUST! 2nd run gets drawn in the bush, goes 100/1, I won't complain, 20/1 to run in 1st four.. I say jump at the E/W while it lasts.. He just needs to qualify.. That 400m to finish from stone last, a neck behind Harry's Son, i couldn't believe my eyes, poetry in motion, loved this horse from that day.. Watch that KRA again, yes I know he was 6th but watch it finish from that draw on the outside.. Big runner if he gets in..
When you running with the big dogs, u can't piss like a puppy..

Would rather back Gr 1 winners - FRENCH NAVY, ERTIJAAL and Gr1 placed Deputy Jud than this horse - French Navy is my Pomodoro this year

Infact i would go as far to say he made no ground up the last 200m, was more impressed with the horses on the far side

Would rather back Gr 1 winners - FRENCH NAVY, ERTIJAAL and Gr1 placed Deputy Jud than this horse - French Navy is my Pomodoro this year- Look carefully at the Conglomerate's last run - Mac De Lago (tt improved as did a good draw)Rampant Ice and Iluminati finished within a length of each other and all were beaten properly by French Navy. I feel that Jayyed is in this class - If he was as good as people think then De Kock would have won multiple Graded races with him as that is the stable's job. I doubt if that horse could beat Majmu over any distance getting weight. Look further at Amazing Strike who finished .40 behind Jayyed in the KRA - those two HOLD form as they finished a head apart in the Dingaans - French Navy beat both in that race by almost 10 lengths and we know 1800-2200m is his best trip. I think if you wabt to back a 3yr old you must go for a first 5 finisher in the TCrown as history proves they do well in this race - I will not back the Conglomerate either as I do not think he is as good as the Gauteng runners. The 3yr old fillies have a huge chance and 33-1 on Siren's Call is perhaps a more sensible bet than Jayyed.

Interesting thoughts here... I am going with this horse. He is in the betting for the top 3 on Friday night (albeit open betting). Bob my mate, yeah I agree that his last 400m to finish started off well, and he looked to lack something in the last 100m. I am consoling myself and saying that the horses on the inside finished off better, and he was firing on the outside.
Nevertheless, I am real excited to see what the 1900m on Friday holds. I think he will win, at the weights, the distance, better draw and stable jock aboard.

Mr H, I cant argue with your logic here.

Neither can I, except to point out that French Navy was beaten fair and square by Legal Eagle in the Derby......
