How can anyone blame the breeders ? He had a veteran trainer looking after his interests. Azzie has seen it all. Surely he is way too clever to get handled by any breeder?

i am not blaming the breeders. but they need these big owners. maybe punished wrong word. Suffer due to lower buying power of the owners.

Maybe we should stop buying yearlings?

You are correct ota all these great businessmen such as beck jaffee jooste oppenheimer kantor van niekerk etc why would they want to own horses its just a waste of money hey ..until you have actually owned horses like many on this site have you will never understand what its about ..Maybe take the plunge if you can financially buy a few shares and then comment afterwards ..This sale had nothing to do with van vurens financial matters

Pirates you can undoubtedly teach me a lot about horse racing. I do believe that after 40 years of experience in the financial markets at one of the biggest financial institutions in Africa I am qualified to comment on returns
