Betting World Refuse to Refund Null Avoid Race!!!

I'm absolutely disgusted with this situation and the poor feedback.Race 4 today in Jebi Ali was run and horse number 13 won the race,10 minutes later announcement was aired that the race was declared Null avoid, luckily I kept my tickets r600 and went and asked for a refund as even on tab it was official and the field applied in exotics, was told that on betting world system the winner is no 13 and they not going to refund me,called there head office in Durban and was told the samething, this totally unfair to the punter.Carry on robbing the public Betting World I'm taking this further don't care what it takes.

Must be only in SA that the race has been declared null and void.

C/c I'm not sure where but to my understanding once a race is announced Null avoid you are entitled to a full refund even if it's in the Karoo. And the presenter announced it clearly on telly.Anyway will be in contact with the gambling board on Monday just to get my satisfaction.

It was declared null and void because,as has become the norm ,there was an error by Saftote!
The reason that they have refused to refund is ignorance IMO- they will when the lights come on!
(It was declared null and void by their own shareholders  )

It was announced before showing the race on Tellytrack.

An employee of "P" acting within the scope of his employment, made an unqualified announcement that the 4th race at Jebel Ali was null and void!
I am sure that Bettingworld,as part of the group, are morally obliged to honour that announcement and may well ,in the circumstances,be legally obliged to!

All other bookmakers in South Africa has a result declared for fixed odd bets. The race result was official in UAE. If it was a tote error bookmakers can still pay out on fixed odd bets barring open bets struck. All open bets will be subject to a full refund.

What bet you wagered ?

Naresh ,there may be a case for that EXCEPT in the case of bettingworld(part of "P")
Tellytrack (also part of "P") declared the race null and void ,before it was run, and they did not qualify it as "tote bets" - I think they may have a different problem to other bookmakers!

I would suggest you have a much stronger case with them than any independant bookmaker ,who could claim that they are not bound by the decisions of "P" !

It beats me how any Bookmaker can allow this negative publicity to continue
Can't be good for their business

My friend said he's buying a towtruck and he swear he'll be at the scene before the accident

Below is from the KZN gambling website. You are not going to win your case against the bookmaker unless you had wagered an open bet. The keyword under Settling of bets is relevant authority or jurisdiction which this case falls under Emirates racing and not Phumelela
