Why take refuge in New Zealand, it's not much bigger than a postage stamp, he obviously wants to be caught unless there is no extradition treaty in place between the two countries.

Personally, I would have gone to Brazil to replace Ronnie Biggs.

What I dont understand, is for the amount of money he is under investigation for, surely he/they would be declared flight risks..... is there more twist onroute?

While in Christchurch recently i spotted him having an Expresso at C1 . He looked relaxed and happy. single life suits him.
