What have Pagoda and Tilbury Fort off a net 97 and 96 done to be in the top 18? They have been beaten by the top 3 year colts every time they have raced them. Why will the July be any different?
tilbury fort the only 3yo in the greyville 1900 beat the whole field bar ten gun salute so why should anything behind him get in before him?the much vaunted its my turn ran behind tilbury fort in the same race and tilbury fort is nowhere near the best 3yos ...pagoda split al sahem and heavenly blue in the group one sa derby just 1 month ago but lets rather put older horses in before who have like winzip says have run 300 times but still deserve to have a run in the july..heard this all before why is run for it in the july why is futura in the july ....

Because it's a handicap?

Its a handicap but

At the moment if Captain America runs, Pagoda and Al Sahem will carry 53kgs. Captain America, MR 116 at the moment before Saturdays win. Al Sahem MR 106 = 5kgs + 2kgs (WFA Allowance) = 53kgs. Pagoda (MR 101) will be under sufferance as the minimum weight for a 3yo colt/gelding is 53kgs. The only 3yo that will give weight at the moment to other 3yos is Edict of Nantes (MR 107) which will give 0.5kgs to 1.5kgs if Captain America runs.

Thank you Bob, so once again no De Kock representative for the July. It is becoming the norm now for De Kock not to have a runner in this prestigious race.

Oh well, either Woody or Crawford will take it this year
