My one gripe about that write up in the Racing Post, is why do they have to mention Gavin's name?. He has nothing to do with any of this shit, so why mention his name? Thats how rumours begin....

to me its an employee contract scenario. If u go to MTS for work and dont follow their rules what do u expect.
if what u have done is so bad that it gets referred to Police u have only urself to blame.
The video seems quite damning if the chap is a well known Bookie.

THE Mauritius Turf Club Stewards last week suspended South African jockeys Raymond Danielson and Brandon Lerena for allegedly socialising with a licensed bookmaker on a boat in Mauritius.
Muzi Yeni, another local rider seen partying on the same boat, was in trouble with the MTC Whatsapp screenshots allegedly displaying a conversation between Muzi Yeni Q and another person.
South African Justin Vermaak, the only eye-witness back in the country after being on the boat with the jockeys, tells his exclusive story in today’s Turf Talk Newsletter.

What i find amazing is that no one has bothered to ask why jockeys go to Mauritius to ride.
My belief is that they have always gone for the betting. Certainly not the stakes or riding fees. A jockey like Yeni has 100 rides a month in SA equating to approx R90,000 in riding fees never mind the percentages that his mounts earn. Why would he go to Mauritius for 4 meetings a month if not for the cash they earn. I know of many jockeys that have made a lot of money in Mauritius and that wasnt on Booked mounts. More like BOOKS !!
