This apprentice handicap is not the place for any serious punter to get involved, but does present a nice challenge in trying to decipher the race. The MoneyHorse status is basically shared by these two FREDDIE FLINT and SIMPLY SCRUMPTIOUS -- if this wasn't a dubious race with unknown riders, we would again have a classic scenario with two overlaid moneyhorses. Simply scrumptous in my book get's the slight edge on performance. the two horses out to unseat them from the classy status are Tropicals' Son annd Gambol. and to be honest this time it really looks like the two speed horses can upset the money horses - but have been burn't with that reasoning before
Once again i wouldn't expect gambol at 7 under top weight to set new benchmarks here putting Tropicals Son in the pound seats. After writing the analysis, the market changed significantly and now the money horses have got all the support, so I will go in search of value and make it Tropical's son from Simply Scrumptious, Gambol and Freddie Flint.

That thought is frightening - as you know I'm not punting, so the thought of causing someone else to lose their money is not comforting
I find that writing my thoughts here helps keep me grounded, and prevents me from doing stupid things.

It looks like the racing is starting to get back to normal ---- class and speed holding up. Not like the recent past were anything goes.

Next race is a tough one....Fiorella exudes class and is the moneyhorse, but the value is gone. Looking at Fiorella and Marsala, Marsala's win would seem to have more merit in my book, we can overlook that last run , connections thinking they had a good thing pushed too quickly into a 300K race it seems. At the very least that does give us a hint as to what this one's connections are expecting of it - Now coming back down to earth in an 85K race. Still it must be said that there are some capable sorts in the field, Sorceress, Red Enchantment, Dinner date are not going to be pushovers. The target being set these two fillies is to beat Sorceress and Dinner Date which I cannot seperate, it's a stiff ask - but either of them might have the class to show tons of improvement. I really cannot call this one and value abounds for the brave at heart.

Completely drained, not sure I have the energy to continue -- If I was punting, now would be the time I would pack it in, order a nice rose' wine, and head home.

Well Spotted, DrDom -- congrats, In hindsight all the signs were there
Also the classic drop in class angle, had the speed over fiorella, and the formbook spoke volumes about what this horses connections knew about it.
