I am tired of you constantly passing comments of little or no value like I suppose any armchair critic that is a never has been.
You offer as much value as a Zim dollar at Harrod's.....
Your owners organisation has less value than the zim dollar you so covet.
Talk is cheap.

On second thoughts go have a chat to Mario Ferreira and Roy Moodley and cast that first stone.

What I do not understand is why we Trainers are brought into this. This is again, an example of why Trainers just do not bother to post on this site.
What are we expected to do before taking horses from an Owner? Pay an investigater or for a forensics report?
And what about BMW, when a customer buys a car ? Must they do same? Are they also "guilty" of something by selling a car to a person named in an article ?
And this article is old news, dug up again....
And when I was contacted by the original journo two years ago, the oke had no clue what he was talking about and refused to come out and meet with me 're the horses of Mario Ferreira....instead, he wrote the biggest lot of shit, got it completely wrong.....and everyone believed the article....
But it is always quite amazing that there are those who will NEVER EVER blame the other side of the article, should the article be true....it gives these nameless freaks a kick, to hide behind a pc and attack anything racing.
The truth of the matter is that Govt is depicted as being corrupt and that it is easier to attack those who dealt with them rather than the real crooks who should be in jail.
As for Roy Moodley, I do not have his horses in my yard and do not know anything about his dealings. He is a board member of NHA, to the best of my knowledge.

Guys please be informed that somebody is trying to cause false alarm and despondency by spreading a very dangerous rumor about me. I have it on good authority that someone is telling people that I have stopped drinking. I therefore would like to categorically state that at no point did I ever attempt to stop drinking, nor contemplated the
idea,let alone even dream't about it. These are lies fabricated by my enemies who want to tarnish my good reputation and prevent my family,cousins and friends like you from buying me drinks this festive season...

Louis G - I do not think anyone should judge the Trainer - However the comment that was made was " Any trainer who is aware that the owner pays their bills with ill gotten gains is party to the crime in my books. " - Who is aware the main factor -

No you can't expect trainers to know how their owners make their money but now that its being alleged every trainer should make what they want of the information. This is now public knowledge and since you mentioned a multinational like BMW why don't you also ask KPMG how turning a blind eye is going for them? It is not your job to audit your clients but you can choose who you do business with with the information you have, particularly those in the public spotlight. I think there's not much between taking a horse from Moodley, Zuma or Mugabe, all depends on your ethical principles and what you willing to do for money. Both have done nothing wrong in front of the law and if that's enough for you that is your choice.

Louis corruption is wrong full stop. Just because Jacob etc. do it on a large scale doesn’t mean it’s ok for others. SAP are going to do the right thing. Hopefully more will follow and the jails will get fuller.

I think you under estimate your responsibilities not just as a Triner but also as a Citizen in this country -
Prevention and Combating of Corrupt Activities Act, 2004 (Act No. 12 of 2004)
To provide for the strengthening of measures to prevent and combat corruption and corrupt activities; to provide for the offence of corruption and offences relating to corrupt activities; to provide for investigative measures in respect of corruption and related corrupt activities; to provide for the establishment and endorsement of a Register in order to place certain restrictions on persons and enterprises convicted of corrupt activities relating to tenders and contracts; to place a duty on certain persons holding a position of authority to report certain corrupt transactions; to provide for extraterritorial jurisdiction in respect of the offence of corruption and offences relating to corrupt activities; and to provide for matters connected therewith.
Who is impacted by the Prevention and Combating of Corrupt Activities Act?
All natural and juristic persons in South Africa as well as South Africans operating outside of the country. The following specific activities regarding identified functions and roles where corrupt activities could impact are also highlighted in the PCCA:
public officers,
foreign public officials,
agents,
members of legislative authorities,
judicial officers;
parties to an employment relationship
witnesses and evidential material in certain proceedings
contracts
procuring and withdrawal of tenders
auctions
sporting events
gambling games or games of chance
Offences related to possible conflict of interest
“sporting event” means any event or contest in any sport. between
individuals or teams. or in which an animal competes, and which is usually
attended by the public and is governed by rules which include the constitution,
rules or code of conduct of any sporting body which stages any sporting event
or of any regulatory body under whose constitution, rules or code of conduct
the sporting event is conducted;

Flowers , my guess is that SAP are in for a very big and extremely costly shock....when all is exposed....
Dark Horse - So, who has been convicted and what corruption am I or any other Trainer party to or have proof of ? What "duty" or " responsibility " do I have ?
Now seeing as you know a lot more than me and that you are reacting on this journo's word etc, why don't you do the correct ," responsible" thing as a citizen and go and arrest some people ?

No - I never said that , I say that we all carry a responsibility to report any suspicion we may have. I am sure that the Sunday Times have done their home work and would not splash it on the front pages of the News Paper . Where their is smoke there is fire.
I know nothing about your owner - However should you know of any suspicious activity then you should speak up . Unfortunately that would take care of your string so you would not want to do that . Close your eyes rather , you are better off for it.
The message was to make you aware and bring it to your attention. Nobody said anyone was guilty. Why so defensive , if you are so confident then why are you even bothering to react,
