Tab-online please respond
If I lay my bets now (12h00) on online - I play under Scottsville - will any winning bets be null and void or is it just a delayed administration update?

Greyville Poly today
Race 1: 2 year olds
Race 2: Rosie Bubbles(1) 5-1 She ran to Mrs O 4 runs back which I like then to Winter Watch after that. Mrs O has won a few and run to some good sorts and the run behind Winter Watch , the 2nd horse was Osculation who in turn has been doing well in the handicaps. Her price is massive and is worth a bet. I like the run of Mbali(14) 3-1 improved 2nd start so will be there along with Camphoratus(10) 7-2
Selection: 1-14-10-6
Race 3: Great Dictator(5) 7-2 He is improving now that they have taken the blinkers off. This track should suit him. 2 runs back the formline is good as the 10th horse He’s A Keeper came out and won + same race there are horses that ran 2nd that were just behind him, Vision Of Trust, World Dreamer all ran 2nd and a horse called Dunzie who was under 2Lengths behind has come out to win so all good formlines for this horse. Moon Shadow(1) 22-10 shows pace and gets the 4kg apprentice allowance, but will prefer him with the blinkers on. Bluemoonrising(3) 5-1 needs to improve but has scope, Respectable Rock(6) 7-1 ran in the pouring rain and was pulling for a long time then started to run on a bit in the straight and obviously tired out. He has a chance
Selection: 5-1-6-3
Race 4: The Grey Crusader(5) 22-10 I like this grey today especially now its on the poly + is fitted with blinkers for the first time. I was waiting for the blinker strike and he will strip fitter today. Big Runner. Ouzo(14) 4-1 should improve on his last 2 runs but when I watch the re runs he seems one paced and this track will not suit him. Dante’s Rock(7) 7-1 has the blinkers for the first time too and I think he will improve to run a place and has the apprentice claiming 1.5kg.
Selection: 5-7-14-3
Race 5: Kinglassie(12) 4-1 I like her first run, behind her in 5th was a horse called Exquisite Eight who came out and beat Victorious Diva(6) 5-2 by 2.25 lengths. So a BIG BIG RUNNER. The favourite Gimme Hope Johanna(5) 22-10 will be running on, and I like the barrier trial runner Everlasting Love(10) to be in the placings.
Selection: 12-6-10-5
Race 6: Lala(1) 12-10 She is well in at the weights and another that has improved with blinkers. The 1600m will suit her better and is the BEST BET ON THE CARD. Onsie(3) 2-1 will be involved in the places along with Call Me Winter(2) 12-1 & Mark My Card(5) 12-1 watch these roughies fo the exactas
Selection: 1-2-3-5
Race 7: Open Race. I do like Sitia(9) 12-1 but she is drawn close to the beachfront, which is a concern but hopefully muzi can get over to the rail. The favourite is the Marcus ridden Girl In Gold(2) 18-10. She hasn’t proven how good she is so there is ? marks to how she will fair, Another roughie is Vallanaut(10) 14-1 has a good draw and will pay well for places.
Selection: 9-2-10-12
Race 8: Barinois(6) 33-10 I like this horse today and has the right jockey on for a strong finish. Was not striding out when she went to JHB and came back to run a good 5th. In Clover(1) 28-10 is a ? mark in terms of how he will perform over this distance and class with top weight. Dinner Date(7) 9-1 should be running on and improve on her last 2 outings. Other than that its open.
Selection: 6-7-5-1
Race 9: Song Of Mitu(5) 8-10 is the P6 BANKER today wont get beat. She has been drawn wide most of her starts but now gets a draw 5 after the scratchings. Winter Model(6) 14-1 will be in the placings hopefully for exactas. Silver Prancer(12) 10-1, Thesaurus(13) 17-2 & Two Moon Junction(15) 9-2 set to fight out minor placings.
Selection: 5-6-13-12-15
P6

JP 2 5,6,10,12 x 1 x 2,3,4,7,9,10,12 x 1,3,4,5,6,7,8,10 R224
Bi-Pot

Good Racing!
Constructive postings like this and those from peter are so helpful in consolidating various insights and views into a strategy for the day. I spent a long time looking at lala, and didnt settle on it....but looking at the above comments hdlps to revisit some assumptions and look at other anbles before making a final selection. Thank you for some positivity.

It takes time to do this and when you get it wrong the peanut gallery is quick to sjambok you lol...
Thank you for King of Aces and Purple Mountain yesterday. I added Cock-a-hoop to the treble and made a killing. I would otherwise not have put in those horses. I'll gladly give you a chop of my winnings

Re: scotsville 6th december?
7 years 6 months agoAdams wrote: Should there be any racing:
Race 1: Favourite
Race 2: I liked the way Mbali stayed on over the poly , looked like she's still learning the trade. Was a few lengths away from the field in 2nd and should improve. Her running style and profile suggest a little bit of class. Her stable companion seems best of the raced runners, but just marginally above median - so i am willing to wager that she is a little superior to Var Agtig and capable of winning the race through that line. Shindeagan and Rani - place material here. I was concerned that Camphoratus would be the strongest challenger to Mbali - but Lerena opting for Shindeagan suggests CAMPHORATUS might be in need of the run. -- MBALI
Race 3: Moon Shadow good runs behind La Ferrari and Spy Fiction. Comes back to the 1000m. In the money all starts at the distance and course and distance, gets a 4Kg claim, was in front of the field at 800m LTO after rest. Biggest danger is Grizzard which looks set to improve with Marcus up, and Great Dictator also in the placings. GRIZZARD
Race 4: It's obviously hard to look further than the Grey Crusader with that run behind Big Bear. I am noting down Angel Landing with a 3.55 Length run to Sea King and St Peter's Bay should be better at this trip. If the Reserve runner Unbelievable Lad was to get a run, I think that would win off his debut to Bad Attitude, Bravo Zulu has done enough to stake a claim here as well. The biggest danger to Grey Crusader is Minaloushe Venture , debut run for competent sprint stable. I am going to count on the lightly raced runner with some claims behind Big Bear to show a little class. GREY CRUSADER
Race 5: This is a very weak field - LUNAR TIDE is the best of the raced runners off form behind Admirals Guest with Gimme Hope Johanna the biggest danger. Being such a weak field[ everlasting love has to be in with a shout. EVERLASTING LOVE
Race 6: Mark My Card seems well in at the weights here, and makes debut for new stable - is distance suited having recently won KZNBr beating the Poet at this trip. only problem is that this stable has a very poor perfromance record. MARK MY CARD
Race 7: Miss Carerra had a decent run over the mile to Lanark in the cape prior to rest and has a definite chance here if fit - market as indicator. Minnie The Moocher and Girl In Gold look to improve with Girl In Gold looking to have more scope of these two. MISS CARERRA
Race 8 : I thought Laters Baby could follow up here - bit long in the market though. Celestial Gold one that I also put in contention but too lomg in the market as well. In Clover could be good enough to win here -respect any support for laters baby. IN CLOVER
Race 9: Probably the only playable option with Song Of Mitu, has shown a lot of speed at the shorter trip and just not making it there. Must be able to use that speed at the extended trip. Has failed twice over 1400m though - once after racing wide. SONG OF MITU
So in all , with the chance that they won't even race - there is nothing on this card that I could confidently wager. I will wait for another meeting to present a wagering opportunity.
I will watch briefly and if having the time - I could put a very small , interest only wager on Mbali - don't like the jockey selection there, and perhaps song of Mitu - although could be suspect at 1400m. I cannot oppose Mark My Card - but that stable is not playable. Not a very pleasing card in any event.
