When is Mayfair going to stopped from Racing

12 runners in the next few days.

a few things:

who is paying the bills and from which account?
are the trainers not at risk with these horses if accounts are frozen. surely an urgent dispersal should held and Mayfair banned from racing for life.

NHA Very strange allowing this to go on for so long.

So unless someone is lying dead in front of you, the smoking gun means it was not fired? Jooste has admitted his guilt. His company have fingered him for being the thief and fraud that he is. There is no question about his guilt Louis, what remains to be determined is how deep that guilt is.

Your defence of the indefensible is getting tiresome. I agree with Sly - Jooste should be ostracised completely and immediately by the racing community and the public at large.

LG, you are a good man and a friend of this web page but defending this man in this current state can bring you no good will.
If there was nothing to be worried about he wouldn't be hiding.

At the very least, he should be banned for life from racing for bringing the good name of racing into disrepute.
If an internet blogger or a journalist can be ostracized, so should he........ he should be held to higher standards in fact, due to his stature in racing.

i just feel there should be one rule for everyone. Mayfair owes institutions Billions. The movement of the funds from Mayfair to another Mayfair entity just before 5 December is a major issue.
If they freeze what ever funds are available to pay Trainers who sits with the can.
NHA should ban Mayfair and thus force the sale of the viable horses in a short period of time.

Mayfair is Jooste by proxy and when he handed in his personnel colors this should have included the Mayfair colors.

NHA has painted a red bull eye on racing by not acting. Hawks etc will be gunning for anyone they see investing to heavily in racing going forward.

parliament will look at the TAX incentives for horse racing going forward much closer because of this mess.

If i was a trainer or vet transporter i would wanna be paid COD or 30 days in advance.

but more so the feeling i get is one set of rules for Mayfair and another for the rest of the owners.

Chris, LG is not defending Markus Jooste. He is merely stating a fact. Derek Brugman as racing manager for Mayfair entered into a agreement with the banks. He is allowed to dispose(and beleive me he is trying to obtain the best possible prices) the horses and keep them in training.
None of the trainers have laid charges or complained of none payment. Klawervlei(49%) owned by the same group.The magnitude of this involvement cannot be wiped away with a ban on racing by the NHRA..

Sooner than later all will be over and forgotten..
Let us hope that the new management of Steinhoff can get their house in order and together with the investigating forcers recover as much as possible to improve the shareprice?recover our losses.

Louis asking the question, who was. found guilty in court to me anyway, smacks of defence.
A person doesn't habe to be found guilty of any criminality in order to be sanctioned by an oversight committee such as what the NHA is

For me, if what you are defending is only for the sake of defending..... rather say nothing at all.

I am not defending anyone. Just stating the rules and the laws. RIGHT NOW there are MILLIONS owed to Trainers countrywide by others , NOT by MAYFAIR !

What has or what CAN NHRA do about those others before judgement is obtained ? NOTHING ! Go back on this very site where NHRA announced this very situation much more than a year ago.

If NHRA acted on Mayfair based upon this trial by journos , media and haters, they would be forced to act on all others.
They leave it in the hands of the Courts until a judgement is obtained. Even then it is difficult. Is the judgement racing related ? Just like all the others. If they went after Mayfair now, they would open a can of worms.....they would be as unfair as they are currently being accused of being....

Simple, if one wants to understand it.

Louis love for owners is blind in fact he reminds me a bit of Jacob. “I paid back the money so why must I go”. Jacob, Marcus and the SAP boys haven’t been found guilty...as long as they own horses they must be ok?
