The thing about all he says is that he was unaware of any problems
How as CEO of a business that size which he claimed all the kudos for growing can he now appear
to be so stupid
Winston Churchill would have said "Never have so many Accountants known so little about so much
for so long"

.....this man is very sharp and for this we must give him credit....however he was/is very hands on and knew everything....also the accounts and yearly audits must have been amended/resolved by his instruction to auditors..... and he together with all the other CA's on the board were all fully aware of all the transactions that where to bring them all huge incremental bonuses.....he said that they were running and growing a business and accounts and accounting was not that important.....one has got to wonder what accounting do they teach at Maaties......

I watched most of it and felt that the most telling remark was when the Chairman told Jooste that he was not attending one of his Board meetings.
He had no problems with this inquiry and to a certain extent it went exactly the way he wanted it to.

I'm almost sure I saw in the You or Huisgenoot magazine someone saying he is just a drunkard bully....but never saw who said that

Looks like the same crap was going on at Tongaat. What an absolute disgrace!!
Captains of industry?? These guys are scum and should be locked up like the common criminals they are.
How many more SA companies are in the same boat? This is terrifying.

One wonders what is happening with MrJooste? Everything seems to have just slid away quietly. Are there charges either laid or pending of is he just living in luxury without a care in the world? Just wondering. I get the innocent until proven guilty bit but this looks as though nobody trying to prove anything. JMO.

end 2018 results out last night.
half hear for 2019 will be out on 12 july. then they will be compliant once again.
in my opinion they are dead man walking.
6 billion in intangible and good will assets and another 1.8 billion in funky sales held or such.
their loans are in the region of 12 billion all euros.
lets see if they trade their way out of this now that they have a true set of figures !!
