Race 7
ROGUE ALLURE is the fittest horse in the race, having had 3 starts in a span of 32days
Also loves the course and trip  distance specialist
Gau:Vaal
Wet:6:1-2-0
Crs: 24:5-6-1
Dst: 17:4-5-2
C&D:12:3-4-1
No betting as yet....but on the winning form shows 25/1
Nice E/W
70% of the Field returning after a layoff

Race 8
I did fancy Will pays first   but looking at the SPRING SPREE STAKES (Grade 3) run Clever guy is better value
CLEVER GUY (E/W)
Gau:Vaal
Wet:3:0-2-1
Crs: 9:3-2-1
Dst: 12:3-2-1
C&D:8:2-2-1
SPRING SPREE STAKES (Grade 3)
1200M TFI
Clever guy was Drawn 9
Finished in 6th place
1.75L OFF THE WINNER
RUNNING ON AT THE FINISH!!
25/1 (E/W) and says weighted to finish much closer to Chimichuri run (5/2)
Based of their last run

Years ago in the 2000s after Yard Arm got beaten in the July, it lined up in a 1200m race at the Vaal and duly won by beating Toreador who was the favorite. Toreador went on to become a Grade 1 sire, while Yard Arm avenged its defeat in the July by winning the Queens Plate and Met which was held in April.
