Summercup............. Bernard carded to ride Barahin in the big one.. as pointed out by Frodo, S.A.Horseraing says - Bernard not riding due flight complications..

now Barahin is widely tipped to run 2ND behind stable companion - SOQRAT............... 2nd prize - 400, 000 - jockeys cut would be R 40,000..

& should BARAHIN WIN - not impossible...... jockey cut would be 120 Grand !!!

I'm sure baring injury - Bernard would do his utmost to find a seat from CPT - JOBURG....... time will tell !

He is not riding in Race 12 only.

thanks Sammy, all understood now.............. " flight complications " so he's flying back to CPT that same night ( unless he wins the BIG ONE ! ) so he can't ride in R 12 - he's gotta rush for the airport..

Got to take a chance somewhere - and I I just think the 3yr old fillies may lack the class of the older fillies and mares - also Mill Queen may be suspect over the 1600 - having said that, my record with finding the right banker leaves a lot to be desired

MUZI YENI is not riding on Saturday!!

Al Mutawakeel is the dark horse in the big one.

Massively under sufferance but has tremendous scope and has gone about his business very quietly.
Reminds me alot of his older, classy brother Al Sahem who got better and better with racing.

Had to negate a wide draw and was all at sea until the final 200m.
