From the NIH website on 27 August as the doc states..
Ivermectin
Last Updated: August 27, 2020
Ivermectin is a Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved antiparasitic drug that is used to treat several neglected tropical diseases, including onchocerciasis, helminthiases, and scabies.1 It is also being evaluated for its potential to reduce the rate of malaria transmission by killing mosquitoes that feed on treated humans and livestock.2 For these indications, ivermectin has been widely used and has demonstrated an excellent safety profile.1
Recommendation
The COVID-19 Treatment Guidelines Panel recommends against the use of ivermectin for the treatment of COVID-19, except in a clinical trial (AIII).

There is an episode on Carte Blanche, about a Dr Emmanual Taban.
His is an extraordinary story, of how he walked from Sudan to South Africa, became a doctor, and is saving COVID +ve peoples lives, with ground breaking surgery.
This surgery was/is? banned by the W.H.O, but he performed it anyway, and saved lives.
It's a must watch, for those with open eyes and minds.

Mutated strain of coronavirus may have leaked from UK vaccine lab: Source
Thursday, 24 December 2020 12:37 AM [ Last Update: Thursday, 24 December 2020 12:37 AM ]
The mutated variant of coronavirus may have leaked from a UK vaccine research laboratory, according to a British researcher who spoke to an advisor to Iran’s health minister.
“Today we had a conversation with a British researcher who said the mutated virus has probably leaked from a vaccine development laboratory in the UK,” Alireza Vahabzadeh, a media advisor to Iran’s health minister, tweeted on Wednesday.
“It is not clear how the virus has leaked and spread,” he added.
“Apparently the country’s doctors are not allowed to comment about the issue, and no clear explanation has been provided in this regard,” the Iranian official said.
The UK government, which is now grappling with the new strain of coronavirus, had ironically made a similar claim about the origin of the virus whose outbreak started in Wuhan, China, last year.
In April, the UK government said it believes the novel coronavirus may have accidentally leaked from a laboratory in Wuhan where scientists were researching viruses.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his scientific advisers said on Saturday the new variant of the coronavirus, which could be up to 70% more transmissible, was spreading rapidly in Britain, although it was not thought to be more deadly or to cause more serious illness.
The authorities have since brought in tight social mixing restrictions measures for London, southeast England and Wales while plans to ease curbs over Christmas across the nation have been dramatically scaled back or scrapped altogether.
Many countries have also closed their borders to Britain due to concern over the mutated strain of the coronavirus.
Despite the tight restrictions, Britain reported a record number of new COVID-19 infections on Tuesday.

Britain reports a record of nearly 37,000 new COVID-19 cases as the virus continues to wreak havoc in the country.
Official figures showed there had been 36,804 new cases and a further 691 deaths within 28 days of a positive test, both up markedly from a day before.
The number of new cases is the highest figure reported since the beginning of the outbreak in the UK.
No trace of mutated virus in Iran: Minister
Meanwhile, Iran’s Health Minister Saeed Namaki said no traces of the new strain of coronavirus have been found in Iran yet.
In comments on Wednesday, he said Iran is monitoring all the passengers who have entered the country over the past two or three weeks.
"So far we have fortunately found no traces of the mutated virus identified in England,” he noted.

The minister said when London announced it had identified the new strain of coronavirus, Tehran adopted measures to protect people’s lives and stem the spread of the disease.
According to Namaki, Iran immediately suspended flights from Iran to the UK and vice versa, and is monitoring all the passengers coming in from England via other countries.

Why the BAN in SA? Safeguarding which manufacturers? Surely a 3rd world country should be exploring all possible cures especially now to contain the 2nd wave.
Cape Town - The import into South Africa of ivermectin, a drug that has made international headlines recently as a so-called “miracle cure” for Covid-19, has been declared illegal by the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (Sahpra).
a close up of a man© Provided by Cape Argus
Ivermectin, which has been used for decades to treat livestock and people infested with parasitic worms, was hailed as a revolutionary drug in the 1980s and works by paralysing and killing parasites.
In a statement, Sahpra chief executive Dr Boitumelo Semete-Makokotlela said: “Our stance is unambiguous. This drug is not approved by Sahpra and any attempt to import it into the country will be dealt with by Sahpra’s regulatory compliance unit in conjunction with law enforcement agencies such as the SAPS and the SIU.”
Semete-Makokotlela said: “If any member of the public is aware of such transgressions, please contact Deon Poovan, senior manager of Sahpra’s Inspectorate and Regulatory Compliance on deon.poovan@sahpra.org.za”
“At present, there is no confirmatory clinical evidence available for the use of ivermectin in the management of Covd-19 infections,” said Semete-Makokotlela.
“In terms of safety and efficacy, there is no evidence to support the use of ivermectin and we do not have any clinical trial evidence to justify its use.
“Sahpra is focused on quality, safety and efficacy and its ultimate goal is to protect the health and well-being of all those who live in South Africa. The use of such a drug could potentially lead to harmful effects or even death,” said Semete-Makokotlela.
Reached for comment, provincial head of health Dr Keith Cloete said: “We will be guided by the expert advice of the national Essential Medicine List (EML) committee and the ministerial advisory committee for Covid-19, who will pronounce on this matter.”
Provincial health department spokesperson Mark van der Heever said: “We only use medication and drugs which are approved by Sahpra.”
During a hearing before the US senate homeland security and governmental affairs committee last week, Dr Pierre Kory, a pulmonary and critical care specialist at Aurora St Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, described ivermectin as a “wonder drug” with immensely powerful antiviral and anti-inflammatory agents.
Kory said: “Ivermectin is highly safe, widely available, and low cost. Its discovery was awarded the Nobel Prize in medicine, and is already included on the WHO’s World’s List of Essential Medicines. Ivermectin is effectively a miracle drug against Covid-19.”
The hearing went viral on social media with one clip receiving more than one million views on YouTube, and a number of people around the world including in South Africa where the second wave of Covid-19 appears to be worse than the first time around, have since called for governments and regulators allow the drug for use against Covid-19.
The WHO and health authorities worldwide have urged people to be wary of so-called Covid-19 miracle cures.

Watch it on Youtube, but irrespective of where one watched, this chap has been spot on. He hasn't spewed a miracle cure, and that's what matters - he is not misleading or misinforming his viewers.
