They will not be told what to do anymore, the shoe is now on the other foot.
IMHO, they do not give a %&*^ and won't listen to suggestions / advise from competent people (Scientists / Professors etc) who know the industry inside out.
yet this morning at 8h30 I pass my local park which has an outdoor gym and mini soccer field and its FULL - people using gym equipment no sanitization - a 6 a side soccer match - no masks and a crowd of about 15 people watching no social distancing or masks and about 600m from the Police Station-
I just feel that controlled activities should be allowed or all restrictions need to be enforced equally -

Basically Cyril does not run the show and has lost the plot.
This pandemic will only get worse in the next 3-months and this government is between a rock and a hard place to lift the lockdown. I cannot see The Western Cape moving to lockdown level-3.
As for the racing, the horse has bolted as we were too slow on the uptake to communicate our cause!!!

You don't need to listen to competent people when being employed by government or being an ANC member imbues one with unlimited knowledge...
We are truly in the age of the arrogance of ignorance...

Food for thought:
Lots of people, even here on ABC wants the lockdown to end. The ANC government doesn't.
In the USA, DJT and the Republicans want the lockdowns to end. In fact, some Republican governors have already started opening up their states.
The Dems, on the other hand, don't.
Mmm.

Lionel, they are letting you believe they do in the U.K. and the States
What you can actually do in the U.K. now, is sit in a park ( still socially distancing) but meet no one from outside your own household.
There is nothing else to do ..
But it sounds better huh?

businesstech.co.za/news/business/401063/...l-3-lockdown-report/
Non-contact sports matches would be allowed, with no fans in attendance – only the teams, management, medical staff, limited broadcast crew, and two journalists;
surely racing fits in here if totes are closed
but...
The paper reports that the draft guidelines propose the reopening up of all sectors of the economy from 1 June, with the exception of:
Hotels;
Restaurants;
Bars;
Gyms;
Other recreational facilities (casinos, clubs, etc).
I doubt Racing behind closed doors fits in with any of the above so it should be a go!
I also would think that non contact sports is open to interpretation - If there is 100m sprint almost no need for contact but what about a marathon ? Lots of questions but let's hope we open up and find answers as we go along
