Pack Leader should win after being very unlucky last run.
Summer Pudding and Man Of Steel meet and this should be a lovely race to see.

Thought I would bump the thread before it goes to page 2

A few decent horses and punts look on the cards today and exotics should not be difficult to catch.

Good Punting

Dawson stable have scratched a few over the past weeks - Maybe virus? But today they send out a really nice horse - ELIUD - now always difficult to follow up on a Maiden victory but especially difficult when you are rated 86 - Well that debut win was special as he beat Bingwa by 3,5 l - That horse is now about a 96 - The merit of that win must be endorsed - He was green and faced a challenging draw which saw him run on from behind the pack to win going away. His daily time was the fastest with second quickest being the future hat-trickster, Sheer Talent. That experience will have brought him on and I do take cognizance of Bingwa's run last week when 5th behind MALMOOS. Not sure if he can beat PACK LEADER at this early stage of his career but I will have a bet and include him in exotics - A horse for the season if placed correctly on exposed form.

Sweet n spicy
Run April run

Just some information needed can someone advise why would 2 horses with a extremely low merit rating be entered in a progress plate talking about to Human horses today, purely on rating terms very difficult for them to win and there's a cost when you nominate your horse just curious to know the reason.

In no way am I trying to question the trainer credentials etc but I noticed this happens mainly in plate races where horses are entered with low ratings but difficult for them to win.

Apologies. Call Me Master, not House Master

Smallish fields with quite a few runners who are looking hopelessly outclassed - thoughts:

R2: The much vaunted family of Hawwaam makes her debut; this should be too short and the betting also seemingly suggesting that; Magical Flight finding the money, but I think she she will have to run to beat Run April Run

R3: Mill Queen stands out on class - a lot will depend on the pace though, as she seems to be better over slightly shorter; I make the 3yr old Sweet and Spicy the danger; gets a whole lot of weight from the older fillies and may be better than rated.

R4: Pack Leader the obvious one; Eliud the unknown quantity, but I'd like to see the stable showing some signs of being over whatever has been plaguing the horses; only Putontheredlight and Prospector (may be better than last effort) to consider of the others

R5: Open handicap, where only Graduate seems to have no chance; ExpressfromtheUS probably better over the shorter trip, but my first choice is Crank It Up - very consistent and got only 3 points for his last win, which brings him into the race with a big chance imo

R6: Summer Pudding obviously all the rage, but a look at the best weighted column shows that the field is closely matched; I do fancy a bit of Rouge Allure; should hold Mount Laurel on their last meeting behind Anything Goes, and if in the mood, could make them pick up their feet here; the two other Peter runners also in form, so not to be ignored

R7: Pinnacle Stakes, but for me the most difficult race on the card; last week Oravar almost did me a big favor, and today the jock deserts him in favor of Down to Zero, who looks to have a chance on best form at these weights, along with stable mate Angel's Power and the mare Double 'O' Eight; Mardi Gras has run well after a break before, so imo not the Tarry benefit that most seem to expect

R8: I really fancy Copper Mountain here - seems to hold many of these on a line through Captain Morisco; 2nd best for me is Golden Pheasant, but any of the other (bar maybe Aristachus) can pick up the pieces should CM fail

R9 Looks a 2 horse contest imo; Castel Corner overdue to win, but the form of Call Me Master's debut also looks quite strong; CC should have the edge looking at the draws, but CMM certainly worth including

Enjoy B)
