Overcast, not much wind. Course should be fast.
Race 1 Thrilla looks the right one
Race 2 Fynbos fit and well and should relish this trip. Despite being against the boys should be right there.
Race 3 I'm in Charge makes his debut. Will need this but has shown good work at home. Let it Burn looks the pick.
Race 4 Hoping that Helen's Legend can show some improvement- she is better than her form suggests. Quite an open maiden.
Race 5 Pretty Betty comes back from a break and will need this outing. She has had one grass gallop. Marina is the one to beat with a race under her belt, but if we get a soft lead Betty could do it despite not being at her peak.

When they don't like it it runs well when they like it it runs like a donkey.

Odds on runs 4th in a 5 horse field.
Our racing just continues to be so very inconsistent with the results.
Thanks to Peter D's insight a few would have survived the PA and bipot this leg.

Another one for S'manga.
I knew my fate when Zackey replaced Marcus on the favorite and the other favorite was ridden by Greg Cheyne.
We need more women jockeys in SA to bolster our riding ranks.

One contributing factor to these inconsistent results is the lack of jockeymanship nevermind the fitness of the horse. 90% of the current jocks cannot read the pace of the race and I believe they do not study form. All this is based on the riding tactics used during a race. Certain horses are not ridden according to their ability but rather ridden according to the tactics used by the favourite in the race.
