Race (1)
Margin Call is coming along the right way, holding form well and should be involved in the finish.
Race (2)
Sage King was a touch unlucky last time, couldn’t get the gap when turning into the straight, switched out and ran on smartly, should go very close.
Race (3)
African Rain can go in again against his own age group, should go close if running close to the new rating.
Race (4)
Bereave, if repeating the last effort should go close. First time over the minimum trip, cannot allow the front runners to get away.
Race (5)
Going to trust Domeyer’s judgement and row in with Marina. Santa Therese could be anything, guess we’ll know after the race.
Race (6)
Firefly is a contender here especially off the weight.
Race (7)
Trip Of Fortune hoping he will be involved in the finish. Should appreciate the extra. Whilst tackling stronger than last time, he has stepped up to the plate on each occasion. Feel he has a fair draw in relation to some of the market rivals.
Race (
Warrior is a massive runner here, probably the best bet on the card.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Hot sunny day, with a moderate headwind. Course will be fast.
Race 1 I will take on Margin Call with Global Goddess, but more open than the betting suggests.
Race 2 I will take on Sage King with Secret Oasis, but anything could pop up
Race 3 Barzalona appeals at the weights, but this looks wide open
Race 4 Elusive Trader goes for a hattrick in this minor feature. He is getting on in years, but down in the weights can't be ignored. All of Bereave, Pleasedtomeetyou, Walk of Fame and Safe Return have solid form and an upset quite possible.
race 5. Marina is the one to beat after two good seasonal efforts. Stable companion Chat Ching is higher rated, but has just had the one warm up run. Our filly Pretty Betty needed her prep run last time, and would have finished a few lengths closer if not meeting interference in the straight. She improved with every start last season, reeling off 5 successive wins, and we believe that she still has further scope to improve. She is fit and well, but must give a kilo to the favourite which is a tough ask. I'm expecting a big run today. Scented Mistress ran a couple of really good races in KZN, and although not showing much in her two comback runs over 1400m, at best she is a threat. Santa Therese has swept all before her in PE, but meets much stronger here. The balance of the field are all useful 4yos and while I don't expect any of them to win, the quartet could contain a surprise.
Race 6 A very open race. While Hoedspruit and Vikram are the class horses, Rockin Ringo and FireAlley are well in at the weights. Native Tongue, Super Silvano and One Way Traffic are all improving

Race 7 On exposed form little between Waterberry Lane, Good Traveller, Pomp and Power and Cosmic Highway, with a preference for Good Traveller. Similarly, little between Trip of Fortune,Xavion, Zapatillas, Double Superlative on the Cape Classic form. Universal has bounced back from a poor run there. Pacaya hard to assess. Marigold Hotel good draw and top form, so must have a shout.
Race 8 My Bestie looks well in here, but very open.
Race 9 Some smart improving 3yos against a couple of hard knockers. Van Hunks, Senso Unico, I Want it All and Gimmie a Star in that order.
