I just watched for the first time the head on, I never had a bet on either. However I do think with the short head it did affect the second horse. It’s one of those that could have gone either way,but I think looking with a clear mind it looks the right call. I feel for everyone who won and lost.

I can understand that guys are upset, but if you look at the head-on, SU shifted off a straight course and bumped the other horse not once, but twice - so based on that, I think it was the correct decision to uphold the objection

It's the inconsistencies that aggravate some punters.
It looks like the Tvl,Cape and Natal stipes all have different opinions about the same thing.
Either have one set of stipes or better still if a horse interferes with another it automatically gets disqualified.
Jocks won't deliberately impede another horse and they will learn how to change their sticks when a horse drifts.

I was sure we were in trouble when the jock changed his whip and drifted towards the second horse
Surprised the Stipes did not object and when I heard it was the jockey thought we still had a chance.
The short head would have made the difference.

Hard game Dave, I also learnt that money sways decisions - voice notes are travelling. The next few hours will be dangerous for most... Telling times. Again, the punter is the loser. Government or Stipes - its all the same!

Race 7 Lingfield today they had a similar objection which was upheld. 3rd against 2nd....
Saw the head on of the last race Kenilworth. It was a tight call. Objections like those will have people going either way.

Big stuff going around, not as simple as "going either way". If it were that simple, a stipes job lies in his ability to flip a coin. The truth will come to the fore - I am sure the voice notes will surface soon.

If you hear in the interview after the race the trainer said the horse was in need of the run, will be ready next time out. The horse got tired the last bit and hung out. This is the part where I think what’s the point as these days horses are using a race as prep runs
