Titch says Superman has taken a gash to his chin in the place which the skull cap straps. Lots of stitches. There is risk whether he may be fit by Saturday.

The Ringer showed a photo on Clocking the Gallop Met discussion, looks pretty bad. A few centimeters the other way and it would have pierced his jugular. A stirrup platform parted which caused the accident
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

just some thoughts on a few races i looked at so far
The Met: Jet Dark looks poised to win this and will be a tough nut to crack...I see money coming in for Marina and is rightfully a lively contender coming into this...and then there is Linebacker who looks to be primed for a great run as well...for my P6 i am including Double Superlative and Hoedspruit.
The Majorca : Captains Ransom gutsy as they come and the real deal...dangers and P6 inclusions for me will be Zarina and Chansonette...absolute dog that can surprise is Major Attraction
Cape Flying : Rio Querari looks very hard to beat in this and is a possible P6 banker...if you going wider consider all of Real Gone Kid/Hello winter hello and outsiders Bohica/Bereave

Here's a theory, Double Superlative will be the pacemaker and to set a decent gallop.

The *WSB CAPE TOWN MET* is finally here - with crowds!
Make sure you play the pick 6 which is expected to reach over R10 million. Also don’t forget the carryover quartet (top 4) in race 12.
Jonathan Snaith dissects a tricky Metropolitan card:
_RACE 1_
*Peut Etre Moi (6)* prefers further but ran a monster over the same trip last time out. Big runner.
I’m in Love (5) was extremely unlucky in recent outing and will run right on top of them.
_RACE 2_
Steinbeck (1) is looking for further but well overdue. Utmost respect.
Navy Strength (2) and Gentleman Joe (
are the two dangers.
_RACE 3_
Very open race so look for value like Fighter (9) @ 13-1 and Bonanza (
@ 16-1 both looking appealing at huge odds. Go wide.
_RACE 4_
Complex race so go wide in exotics. Include all Justin’s runners in pick 6.
_RACE 5_
Wide open race – field! *We’re Jamming (11)* is the each way value @ 7-1
_RACE 6_
*Pacaya (6)* is a possible banker. Zapatillas (1) the obvious danger. Looks to be a two horse race on paper.
_RACE 7_
Rio Querari (1) is back in form and should bounce back. Real Gone Kid (4) is impressive of late and warrants inclusion. Include Captain Fontane (7) @ 14-1. This is potentially an upset leg if Rio doesn’t deliver.
_RACE 8_
*Captain’s Ransom (1)* is the best filly in SA over this trip and should be the banker.
_RACE 9_
*Double Superlative (11)* is hugely impressive and progressive – massive runner at the weights.
Jet Dark (4) has the older horses held on form and will stay the trip – champion.
_RACE 10_
*One way Traffic (7)* had excuses last time out and will be worth a bet. Sparkling Water (9) could give him some traffic with sensational Joburg form - respect.
_RACE 11_
*Solar Power (10)* @ 16-1 and *Poltergeist (12)* @ 20-1 are both amazing value. Take win / place bets on both.
_RACE 12_
*Hilarity (10)* is far better than her form and will love this trip. Each way bet @ 16-1. Play her a roving banker in the big quartet (pick top 4 places) carryover.
The Met is officially *sold out* so if you’ve missed out on tickets then catch all the racing action on DSTV 240.
