Imo what has happened today ito Double Superlative was a case of peaking in the Met - and it was always strange to me that the books drifted him out - imo should have been odds-on on form today - but no excuses as he was beaten fair and square - so now the question is how good is Pomp and Power ? As a result Double Superlative's rating MAY drop and he would be a better bet in the July (given that the plan is still to take him to KZN) - as the books surely will drift him

3 yr olds have shown their elders in the sprint that they are better at WFA - I did not expect that, but a very good win by Cosmic Highway who proved me wrong as he is clearly a very good sprinter - just to note that the inside draw helped him a bit - but he never looked like losing.

Warrior - maybe not the best of rides, but give Marcus his due - he had Silver Operator in the right place and pushed the button at the right time - will be interesting if they try Warrior over more ground in order to decide if he should go for the July

Grant Van Niekerk had a really bad day at the office yesterday.
He is prone to brain freeze moments more often than any other jock we have riding here.
Yes he is a talented rider but too often makes stupid decisions.
Doubt he will ever get back in HK if the stipes there watch his replays,he also causes a lot of interference.

Zzzxzzzzzzxxzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Remember Mr Cobbs ( who ?) beat the 130 rated last time.
RQ will be back up North N1 to defend the Computaform Sprint title .
Thanks to Neon and factoring in the sponsor of the race and the spotlight on the sale of the best performed son of Gimmethegreenlight , was able to go on the Cosmic Highway :)

I am sure the number of horse from Cape Town who run or win in JHB never perform well after. I am not sure of teh stats..but I do know of many who just train off. RQ has never been the same horse since winning the Computerform sprint. I think Ramsden and Bass had winners in JhB and never won again.
