Heads and shoulders above these guys but he was earning a big salary and huge bonuses, a proper racing man. I can't recall seeing a Vee Moodley owned race horse, why hasn't he thrown money at the game? He's indirectly telling you its a mugs game. How do you as an owner feel when this new guy states clearly before he gets his point across "we are open to constructive criticism " He's basically sweeping the issues he doesn't want to hear about to the side, try fix whatever you can fix, he operates at zero risks but decides upon himself what to listen to, owning a horse now is brutal and only for those who have passion for the game, the numbers don't make sense, buying and owning a racehorse can't be fun and you would be misleading people telling them so, maybe Colin Gordon could do a bit on owning a racehorse numbers and the risks the owner faces as well as the facts and figures that the open bet costs them and weigh it up against the millions WSB alone have thrown at the game and why the game thrived with the same open bet available instead of telling us what is a stakes race and a maiden race. I feel for the guys who are in deep purely for the love of the game

Ha ha how much more was he getting paid than what they earning now? According to the guys inside I hear a lot but a lot less. Even here on this forum someone saying how much the guys are earning today. The problem is or I’m told that they don’t have to disclose how much they getting paid now before they had to. Why? So where is the infamous journalist? Wait, she’s starting to knock on the doors now now. Let’s hope they transparent with her and don’t hide what they paying everyone around the table. Correct?
Oh yes thanks about the info on this guy victor. We see him this week.
Ons kommetdie petition!

What difference does it make what Vee was earning?he doesn't work for 4Racing anymore,Patrick Davis earns 15000 pounds (300k),lives in the UK Whilst Rome is burning, they should get Vee back to turn a loss making business into a profit even if they have to pay him 30 000 pounds.
Colin Gordon does own horses but has owned from Chris Gerbers days can Onyourway please tell us how many horses the Messiah Patrick Davies owns?
You can talk to any trainer and they will tell you that Patrick is poison and is not inclined to help anybody but himself.

@Deputy Jud,
I suggest that you amplify the scope of your petition and also demand:
SUSAN ROWETT be appointed as the CHAIRPERSON of 4Racing for the following reasons:
1- 4Q has a vacancy
2- She will be the first non-token appointed Chair for 4Q
3- She is definitely not part of the 4Q Friends & Family Brigade
4- SANTA will fully endorse Susan’s appointment, given the manner in which she amicably resolved a very public spat between the parties
5- Your Brah Vee will be working with his old boss lady - the form and pedigree speaks for itself

I have no interest in knocking anyone's opinion here but the wrong objective keeps getting pushed. Anyone can increase the pools with a few tweaks of the rules but that is not the answer to racings need to grow its footprint.
Who has a pedigree of growing a customer base substantially? The answer sadly is no one as this has previously not been an important pursuit but should be the basis of any appointment in future as racings livelihood depends on this very issue.
Without creating a bigger and growing market for racing everything else is just kicking the can down the road. It's time that racing appoints a dedicated marketing team with people with a marketing track record and tasked specifically with expanding the customer base.
And with measurable and measured customer targets, so no hiding in the corner behind squeezing the current customer base for more turnover.

How do people gamble if they have no money. How do you market stuff if there are little or no buyers.Dwindling turnover is the reality of the economical state of our country. Unemployment at its highest ever etc etc....

@the Duke - You say a number of things that are absolutely true and we do live in exceptionally hard times.
Having said that do you truly believe that there are no people in South Africa with disposable income and a choice of what to spend it on?
Racing has to show itself as offering a value for money entertainment experience and as a bonus an economic incentive to become a participant and it needs to convince a potential market that it is a better proposition than other activities vying for the the same rands.
If this is a bridge too far, racing is doomed as it has probably got the lowest base of any industry as a starting point for expansion.
Even just adding a 100 000 active customers would create an enormous income opportunity even at a modest monthly outlay per head.
Continuous growth of the customer base is the only objective that can turn racing into a thriving industry again and failure to try or to believe it is possible is as good as admitting defeat.
If we don't believe it's possible how can we expect the operator to pour millions into the sport to satisfy our constant moaning at the poor service and all this into a sinking ship.
This sport has more growth potential than is imaginable but it needs creative offerings that favour the player and that looks after big and small punters with equal enthusiasm.
The hardest thing is to get the momentum going, thereafter things become a lot easier. It requires taking the first steps though and that needs people who believe in the game and backed up with products that can be sold with confidence. You have to believe in what you are selling otherwise it's a non-starter.

Sorry? The ladies were dressed in black. The funny thing is, sorry I have to laugh, no one was there on the ground man. No people on such a big day? Maybe 150 people I swear to you. They asked us there, who’s 4racing, what is pools, how do we bet🤣. Our girls said just sign here. But there was no one there man. What a sad looking place like a ghost town. There were more people in Durban at Greyville on Monday. But we moving. At least Durban allowed our ladies in there buildings even though they never had this bands on there arms. It’s okay, we learning and we around moving tote to tote and our new friend Vic will make sure both come together same time and the signatures will be enough for everyone to pay attention.
Don’t worry, kommetdie petition was only showing off yesterday as you saw, wait because we promised, one kommetdie petition. We were very shocked we thought 2000 signatures but they put on the biggest day and there’s no people there man it’s embarrassing.
