Moodley must run Racing - enough is enough

Haven’t posted on here for ages but enough is enough now! These guys at 4racing need all the help they can get and if they don’t swallow their pride and bring Moodley in now then they dead! They haven’t a clue how to get these pools up whereas Moodley was the betting guy when pools were at its highest.

Now that we know that the other side of the grass is not greener like they promised, can we please go back. We’ve seen shit for a long time but this cake is horribly sour. Please throw it in the bin.

Mr Moodley, from what one has witnessed over time, please act on the following once you’ve been appointed; get rid of Cape Town, that’s the first thing you must do. Coming from a person who grew up there and coloured like you, You know better than me, there are no punters left in that province.

Mr Moodley, we remember you telling us how Cape Town drained the business with costs. They now racing half of the time, are they not? and we told they still run at a huge loss. You going to have to shut the place down, it’s the only answer. You in the know, organise licenses for those untouchable to train in Hong Kong or Singapore. Please believe me punters and trainers will applaud you. Get rid of them. Get rid of the poison.

Mr Moodley whilst you closing down Cape Town, fix the communication and fix the pools please. You losing punters hand over fist to competition because the persons in charge of betting and marketing and and and everything else, are bad Mr Moodley 🤮ffs Mr Moodley please fix this. This must be the worst crop (excuse the pun) ever produced in administration history.

Fortunately with certain owners who have heavy influence in the Cape and throughout, especially that they coloured too because this is when government listen, we believe it’s time for a signed petition. We going into all the totes and racecourses to get signatures to ensure that racing survives.

The last concerned owners uproar turned racing on its head, remember that? we will do it again, only this time we the right colour! 👍🏾

Enough is enough!

A very concerned colour holder

Interested post.

My questions would be .

Is there a current vacancy?
Do 4 Racing know they are in trouble?

My observation is that they have become like the old Phumelela and not really interested in the punter as far as horse racing and they probably make enough money from soccer?

My personal complaints are basically against the poor new racing channel and now I have discovered Gallop I am actually OK.

Bottom line is I really hope and always hoped that 4RACING would make a difference 🙏

The sport needed an injection but at this stage we don't appear to be using the correct vaccine 😷

Good Punting 👍

We not asking for anyone’s permission to have any position advertised. We don’t need your permission. The coloured people will now speak. You all have your people in charge for long enough, and we now want our people back in charge. The pools were at the highest when Moodley was in charge, don’t blame him for this fiasco. Put him back in charge without having to report to fools (that’s why he left in the first place) and he will get the tote back to best. You can have the best tv shows you like and best tv racing, but what a shame when it can’t be paid for due to shit pools yet you expect us to play in them? What the hell? Fix the problem by putting our people racing people in charge.
Anyway, we sending our petition for signatures to all the totes throughout the country. We not in favour of what’s going on in the Cape and we want the tote up at best again. Please believe us when we tell you ons “kommetdie petition”

Not dissing your posts

I would be more worried about the KZN AND JHB pools, these centres carried everyone else

Just imagine if the white folks where speaking like you are Deputy Jud.I wonder what they would be called.
The best person should get the job no matter their skin colour.
Yes I agree with you whoever has been in charge of SA racing has really stuffed it up badly but that is because the head brigade where putting friends and family into positions they where not qualified to do and failed dismally, killing the industry while making a small fortune for themselves.
Probably the same way our government is running the country, and if I'm not mistaken the majority are people of colour.
It all comes down to the right people for the specific job, should have nothing to do with colour whatsoever.

Sorry but you wrong. Colour is crucial in this case. And one of the reasons we putting out a petition is to stop what’s allegedly going on in Cape Town with the appointment of friends family of the head brigade in the Cape. If you talking about qualified I can assure you the people running tote pools don’t come close to the Moodley expertise. That’s why you are where you are! On that note do you even know who runs tote pools? Nee?
Ons Kommetdie petition.

As Forrest Gump would say

"The forum is like a bunch of chocolates you never know what you are going to get until you open your phone ?"

Couple of points.

The principal of the best man for the job is important and not based on colour.
You can't just walk into a company and demand someone is appointed as you think the current administration are doing a poor job.

Petitions outside tote offices does not sound like a strong message? What happened to the last group that were taking over racing SANTA ?

I appreciate your worries and concerns DJ (please don't tell me the DJ stands for Disc Jockey from 240) 😎

I wish you well on your mission but maybe a bit more strategic planning is required.

Good Punting

Another thing you might want to consider chasing the gambling Rand

Without nitpicking and my numbers might be out.

UK and SA similar in population but the UK has a racing culture between the masses

Cheltenham 60 quid (R1200) entrance for 4 days
Minimum wage probably 10 quid per hour R200.

We have massive unemployment and the majority are looking for grants a R350 PER MONTH.

Probably R10 on Kaiser Chiefs and a lucky number is more the game .

Our racing elite and celebrity status in the Cape are educated and will soon establish that 5/10 scrolling on the tote on even money shots is not a clever call.
In addition owning horses should never be termed as an investment.

Bottom line after covid, looting and raping of assets THE MONEY JUST IS NOT THERE.

Just my opinion

So let's state facts....
The person in charge of betting is Bill Clucas ex CEO of Sunbets he was let go from Sunbets and was employed by non other than Charles Savage who is his friend.
The person in charge of sales and marketing in the cape and Gauteng is Donavan Everett,he was put there by non other than Jonathan Snaith,Donavan's mother and Jonathan's mother Sue are sisters.
All of this is the highest degree of nepotism that I have ever seen.
