The tote must modernize it's product range and make the offering more punter friendly than it currently is. The multi leg exotics hold the key to a tote revival as pooling offers a unique opportunity to pay substantial dividends for a relatively small outlay.

The current methodology used does not favor the punter as there is little reward for putting in the hard miles towards form studying.

Miss a leg and bye bye pay out which does not inspire confidence to put the money down or all the favorites arrive and a paltry return ensues.

By changing the methodology away from a knock out scenario to a contest based challenge pay outs can be guaranteed in even the toughest formats imaginable, and with the right balance quality dividends can be produced even when favorites win most of the races and giant guaranteed pay outs when the sky falls as it often does.

Our Scoreline bet does exactly that and will make punting both profitable, much more affordable and vastly more entertaining than any current multi leg on offer.

It is a true value bet that will enhance any product offering and will generate much bigger pools over time which will make the marketing of racing to a new market much easier.

Racing offerings must be fun, offer value for money and punter friendly rules and formats and show case racing as an exciting activity to be involved in where skill is properly recognised and rewarded.

Is this guy serious from Hawaii? Have you been surfing the big waves? Where were you when horse chestnut won the derby, and yard arm and Louis the king and Abashiri? And I Gugu and chery on the top and the list goes on. The place was humming with a great vibe and the grandstands were full up man. Go see the videos. Now you want to tell us about queues in a post office? So tell us now these queues are these not the same queues outside loftus? There were 19000 people at the rugby on Saturday. You make us a fool. We know the world is in a mess but don’t come look for excuses. These passionless people running racing now must go now. We not stopping. When Victor is signed up with the grooms we present it all one time. Now th trainers they telling us stakes are coming down the next 4 months. How do we survive this? Who represents the owners when these choices are put in action? Then you see cape staff and friends of the Snaiks travel to joburg for what? There no people here on the big day what they came for. To do what? Take photos? Who paid for all this when you can put that money into the shortfall of stakes that we now have to suffer for. Please man, go to hell! We are putting Moodley in and that’s it. This is our game. We will put who we want. We tired of your rats!

I remember when the “House Full” signs went up at the Big T. The Holiday Inn meeting mid 1980’s. There was also this lovely lady who was naked underneath her summer jacket. When she got the attention of the SABC cameraman she opened up her jacket for the whole country to see. Oh yes, Mac was there 😊.

That infamous incident definitely happened in the 1990's.

I think it happened on the Administrators Cup Day when Empress Club was odds on but Cardinal Fury won at any odds. Empress Club did win the same race the year before as a 3yo in 1992.

Am I getting that grey? Either Frisky or Have A Fling won one of the Holiday Inns at the time. But I don’t think there was a “House-Full” sign in the 90’s. May be.

Plenty thoughts and emotions on this thread but transparency has always been the problem.

Why don't we just announce the official attendance via the press.

Look at previous years and look at the trend

Are we increasing attendance or not and don't let Covid play tricks ......it was the same for all sports.

2022 now ?
2019......
2018......
2017.......

I'm just reading some of the contributions on here and am beginning to have serious concerns about people and their delusions.

Tote nicely stuffed today...
Junee we still stuck on race 1 and we on race 5 now.
Gloucester race 1 the tote shows the winner paying 2-40 when it paid 1-20
Globe Derby stuck on race 2
Mildura we missed 3 double dividends
Absolute class these okes

If the "2022 now ?" numbers could be published, it will not be comparable to any previous years attendance numbers. Considering the fact that in 2022, on Derby Day at Turffontein, Turffontein also hosted the:

"Joburg Jazz Festival" and
"Joburg Seafood Festival"

THESE WERE JOBURG FESTIVALS. ALL JAZZ LOVERS AND SEAFOOD LOVERS PACKED TURFFONTEIN TO THE RAFTERS.

These two festivals drew crowds from all walks of life that descended to Turffontein for TWO JOBURG Festivals being held simultaneously and Turffontein while Derby Day was in progress.

Surely its almost impossible to count and record the attendance for three monumental events held simultaneously at one venue. Cut 4Q some slack.

Saint T Turffontein was a ghost town on Saturday, I think they hosted more festivals than paying customers! A massive flop
