The going is Good.
In America they have Beyer speed figures. Mostly for dirt racing. It takes into consideration if the track is running slow or fast.

Re: Fairview Friday 1 April
3 years 2 months ago - 3 years 2 months agoThe winners time was 71.77.
Almost 2.6 seconds slower than the class record of 69.1 seconds.
The course record is 66.48.
Khayas Hope won with a time of 70.21 before.
So the pace was slow....
I think the going is not that good, just check how far ahead they where from the third horse.
Didn't Greeff say the course was a bit cut up?But you know they always have an excuse

The problem with races like that is that it throws the form book out the window. Then racing becomes a guessing game.

Mur mur reversed form with the second lengths by 20 lengths (both were on debut then)

I gather you don't play KZN racing Neon.
There on the best of days it's still a guessing game for most.
The inconsistencies are terrible

For me it was all about the rides on the top 2 in the betting.
They just got the pace all wrong in my opinion and that played the biggest outcome in the result.
