The problem with races like that is that it throws the form book out the window. Then racing becomes a guessing game.

Mur mur reversed form with the second lengths by 20 lengths (both were on debut then)

For me it was all about the rides on the top 2 in the betting.
They just got the pace all wrong in my opinion and that played the biggest outcome in the result.

she still should not have beaten foxy on form

I am glad I had no financial involvement in that second race.

I would question that normally if you ever get value on a tote it's with the outsider.
In this case the 100/1 or 50/1 shot only pays R26 plus if you consider the fav was not evens it was paying R1.10
I would have a look at irregularities in the tote system for the race and show some transparency to the punters.

Well done PeterD on Cape Point. Only second run on the turf since leaving the Cape made all the difference.

wonder if the stipes will ask why Joe Harmon was so far out of his ground as opposed to the last 2400m race when he was 2nd at the 800m in a seven horse field

I thought Empress Ki was loving every bit of todays distance.....
Tailed off last.
And Joe Harman making one last lunge....still had 2 lengths to make up 20m from home.
If you don't watch the race and just listen to the commentary at least the commentator is trying to give every horse a winning chance
