Hope you took some swingers R182.

Some bookies offer Eachway. 1/5 of the win odds for the place even if there is an odds on favorite.

Horrific run by Cliff Top.
Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

And here I was inclined to think he was going to be the Gold Medallion favourite after he thrashed amongst others Trompie and friends.

that must have paid for Hollywood's buying of Cliff Top after that Cape win

Sure it would have, but not the way they wanted it to happen

yes and not good for the sire Canford Cliffs and breeder either -
Xxxccxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I do believe in conspiracies and though the odds on pop ran stone last, not everybody was left to pick up the pieces.

1. The jockey on Cliff Top went too fast sure, he is retained by the breeder of the shock winner Mur Mur.
It was a win win for the breeder.
2.The owners were not overly devastated that their deep in the red favourite took out thousands
of doubles, multiples and high rollers.
Unlike the bookies who operated in the ring with a single clerk and accountant and a briefcase, our conglomerates these days have branches countrywide and with the end of month overheads especially the salaries and brick and mortar that they operate out of.
3. The trainer will not be scratching his head or tearing his hair out.Instead will be celebrated as the greatest pops around as the filly is owned by his dogtertjie.

So a win win situation all round for those mentioned above, not the punters....... who gives a hoot about the mugs anyway?
They always come back for more punishment.

PS.
You heard it first on ABC...... this Mur Mur will be even better going over more ground and there's black type paddock value written all over this filly.

Actually I think Cliff Top is a 1000m horse....the third horse actually improved its debut time and the race as pointed out by Naresh was actually slow

PE is also known as the windy city.
Any comparison of times on previous stats is incomplete without factoring in the give in the ground.
See clods of turf kicked up.

And most importantly...... the wind factor. Tailwind will result in faster times.
