Last year airways law was raised 18 points for winning the cup trial. Any opinion on the likelihood of Rockpool getting into the July around 54kg, should he win the trial?

Think this is more a knee-jerk re-action, rather than this has always been the stable's main July hopeful. Maybe Without Question is not suited to the Greyville track. My opinion, he didn't appear to "kick-on" in the DN 2000, just looked one-paced the last 150 or so. When Without Question won in Cape Town, i thought he was weighted to win that race, and Fourie appeared to intimate this was his ride for the July.

Don't get me wrong, Snaith is a very good trainer, right now i think they realise Without Question, who was their best hope, won't beat See It Again, so they prepared to throw anything against the wall in the hope something will stick. Just my opinion.

Rockpool has beaten Without Question before, with possibly 3 kg lesser and over further in the July, there's not much reason to totally ignore his chances.

I think quite a few are pinning their hopes on winning the Cup Trial - Rockpool, perhaps Shoemaker and I'm sure there are a few others - then it would depend on what the Handicapper does - plenty of guess work imo and the odds currently not very enticing on some of these

I did like the run by Rockpool 😉
