Its a pity yesterdays racing had to be cancelled as there where a few good horses running would have seen some pointers for the rest of the Kzn feature season, perhaps the Peter stable could have brought their protest in a different way but they are passionate owners like so many of us are sometimes emotions get the better of us MAIN DEFENDER is a champion horse theres big stakes involved we all looking for a champion horse that can put us on the map owners have one here and although wrong in the protest who knows hw many of us with have reacted if we where in similiar situation, im a small owner and emotions run high when im watchin racing to be present on the course and to  react in this way is human nature for emotions to get the better of anyone. Like so many other good owners and trainers in  this country big or small the Peters are good for racing they have  passionate racing followers and like so many have invested heavily in SA racing.
Lets just hope we see Main defender on kzn shores again after all we need to see the best against the best Main defender started its career in Kzn and would be nice to see this horse win one of the features

Lost a saddle bag. Weighed in under weight

Sorry guys just catching up and maybe duplicating but my memory was Flaming Gun with WIllie Uys and it was 9/20 ? 

It did win and weighed in under weight but I think the protest came because the saddle weight came out after the finish line and the horse ran the actual race with the correct weight?

David Safi would remember more ....

That sad part is that we might not see this Champion Main Defender in action again,,he was just starting to develop into a proper racehorse... Sad for SA horseracing
