Fingers Im with you 100%..Buddy always said to me the quickest way to get outa racing as an owner is if you start punting yr horses...Ive been told so many times by trainers and jocks this will go very close only to see the horse run unplaced.
Must say if cos were run the way owners run their racehorse accounts they would all be bankrupt. (who in their rite mind would invest R millions in horses for the rate of return they generally provide)

Many owners I know bought a horse to get stable info to punt. For them it's about betting and not the racing itself.

Some of them know when a horse is ready. a Trainer phoned me 3 times with tips, and they all won!! one paid R75.00 a win on the tote, the other 2 were 8/1 and 4/1. All from his own stable, I had horses with him.
