In case we're wondering about the leading earner...
Pierre Jourdan, who won the Ready to Run Cup.
His dam Vin Fizz was bought by Beaumont Stud in 2005, for 25k.
Sold by them a year later, in foal to Pierre Jourdan, for 57k.
The buyer was listed as Bye Farm Breeders - don't know who that is.
The deal with Summerhill must have been a private affair.

Karel and Lips: why do you two persist in introducing facts into these important discussions where successful people are knocked of their lofty perch?
Irrespective of what youi two pedants have pointed out, it is patently obvious to one and all that Summerhill has pulled off some giant stroke by attaining the title of leading breeder by pretending to have bred all of those animals, when in fact they were really bred by others.
The nerve of some people.

I think Bye Farm Breeders and Livestock Traders are two names that Summerhill buys under, but I may be wrong.

Barry, yes it will happen again. Someone has to be the bukwark against the Martians-under-the-bed conspiracy theorists.

Karel
I said that the numbers Summerhill have at their disposal is more than the next TWO added together.
What this boils down to is that the champion breeder is the one who construes to breed the most runners. I remember that Beck never added Highlands and Maine Change together to guarantee championships.
I think we must remember that Micky has it all figured out, and that is to sell the sizzle, not the steak. And again, to repeat myself, how else would he be able to compete with billionaires?

Hey,
there's an interesting parallel between Summerhill's Pierre Jourdan and Emblem Of Liberty, last year's Equus Champion and the leading earner for Jack's favourite breeder D Cohen & sons.
Summerhill bought the dam of Pierre in foal to him for 57k at the Vintage mare sale.
D Cohen & sons bought the mare Dafka in foal to Emblem Of Liberty at the Natal mare Sale for 42k.
They'd done the trick before, by the way, with July winner Space Walk, buying the mare in foal to that one.
Anthony Beck had a point when he said: "Want to breed a champion? Sell the mare!".

Jack, and your point is?
Summerhill's earnings are more than the next THREE added together.

Yip, you right.
Clearly they are the utter champions, no if's or but's.

That's not fair.
You're not supposed to agree.
That gets us nowhere.
What will Barry think?

Lips,
Could Jack have been sarcastic, perhaps?
Then we're not dead yet.
