The way I figure it Barry is a businessman. With this deal they have won the WC without even winning it. It is hard to sell a good horse, but you have to look out for your investors best interest.
In my opinion it was certainly the right decision.
I agree completely with the "Twice Over" issue. In fact after his last win I commented and said exactly that. He "could" go flat after that great first up win. Now the race becomes very open and a few are there with a shout. Don't discount Golden Sword..........nuff said!

Whilst I wish Barry all the best these wishes do not extend to the new owner for obvious reasons (not that the Chechen President would care). If the reports are correct in respect of the $4m price tag Barry and his partners must be doing cartwheels. I wouldn't have though GH was worth half this much, even with a potential stud career
I just don't think GH is good enough to win the big race and rate Golden Sword as the biggest danger to Twice Over. For my money Musir won't come close to a place and on a line through Musir, GH must really be up against it.
Anyway let the race be the judge but at 12-1 I will be with De Kock and Golden Sword!

I can't help but come back to Golden Sword time and time again as well. Musir not for me, but I think Gitano is better than that last run. He will be cherry ripe for the WC and he will be right there when the photos are taken imo.
I'm not a big Twice over fan, so not sure about him tbh

Twice over is far superior to GH.In fact GH has no chance of winning or even running a place imho.

This race, imo, is not about the best horse winning. Twice Over is the best horse in the filed, but he ran WAY TOO BIG on his first run in the Emirates. I believe he will need to be a super being to run even bigger and win the WC.
We have to handicap horses in races where we believe they can win. I don't believe Twice over can win this race on this day in this spot. Therefore I have to look elsewhere.
The mare from Japan is good but not for me without any preps on the Tapeta. Fly Down from the US has never ran on Tapeta so not for me either. He is a dirt horse imo.
Musir doesn't stay a hard run 10 furlongs imo.
Twice Over has been discussed. I wouldn't be surprised if he runs a place but winning will be tough.
Golden Sword.....Big runner
Gitano will be right there.
Hold on to your hats boys!!!!

I also am not a Twice over fan .
I will stick with the japanese mare Buena vista . The worry is the tappeta but hopefully her grandfather Sunday silence will have an influence on her and she will take to it .She comes off two cracking good runs and i think Soumilion will be pulling his hair out come saturday night .
i was very dissapointed with Musir's run last time .Maybe he needed it cause his seasonal debut was excellent to Skysurfers, whom i think will win the mile race . It might have been that Soumilon's Musir suffered from second run after rest syndrome , or who knows MDK may have left some in the tank for this race , he is known to leave reserves for the big ones .
Buena vista for me from Golden sword ,Gio ponti , Cape blanco , Victoire Pisa and Musir

I know who trains him Hibs, but in this case I'm not sure it is anything within the trainers control.
Just my opinion of course!

Oscar, the syndicate voted to sell. I didn't sell the horse, the partners did. Do you understand better now?

Plenty opinions, so if it was me (I should be so lucky)
4M a great price in fact would have been happy with 3.5M and just in case it wins the big race, (dont think it will)
I would have a feel good bet of 8M/500K (you might have to share between a "few" bookies).
Enjoy!
