Here is an interesting little tidbit.
One of the recent president of the USA has been rumored to own a piece of one of the biggest and most successful stud farms in Kentucky. At the very least, this fellow has participated in partnership to breed horses that were sold as yearlings at Keeneland.
In some places in the world, this president is considered every bit as much of a war criminal as some of people you mentioned, such as Gadaffi.
People bought and continue to buy from this stud farm.
I guess some would have me restrict my business only to those select individuals that qualify under a strict code of preferred buyers and sellers.
What we did and what I did was good business.
I am an American. Proud of it. And if I did business with somebody that was a clear and obvious enemy of my country, that would be worthy of comment.
This other commentary is nonsense.

wow is the 1st prize for winning the Dubai WC not $6 million...R40million for a horse the buyer must really love the sport...i wonder if H Brown had any input into the purchase..

The point that some seem to be missing is that the horse has been sold in it's entirety......it is not as if the new owner has been accepted as a partner, and further to that point, obviously the sale happened because the syndicate received more than they perceived the horse to be worth, but paid by the new owner to feed his own ego, come saturday.
With that in mind, would you prefer to benefit from your enemy or your mate?

Barry, you usually are open and honest about most of the questions you're asked, which is much appreciated.
Its very easy to shout from the sidelines about doing business with this one and that one but I highly doubt anyone of us would turn down the sale on principle. Its not like Barry is selling drugs, arms, laundering money or doing dodgy deals with the guy, he's simply selling a horse in good faith.
I reckon virtually every wealthy Russian has done something the West would consider unethical, corrupt etc, not saying its right but thats the way business is done there. I think theres a distinct difference between say selling your house to the Gadaffi's of this world and entering into a business venture with the guy, as the French and Brits have done and are now paying the price.
I'm sure we'd all prefer to do a deal with so called "upstanding citizens" but that only exists in fantasy land...

Sasky, think about it this way: how many times a day can a grown man jerk off? What else have some of these guys got to do to keep their hands occupied after that? So they go on the Internet and troll around. Their wives are happy, so that's a good thing.

I'd take anybody's money who would give me (say) R40 million for something I think is worth (say) R30 million. Gaddafi, Satan, Mugabe, Jack the Ripper - anybody. I won't even try to pretend otherwise, and as Rob pointed out this is not a partnership of some sort, it's an outright sale.

now that you say that I think I am very fortunate because I get somebody else to jerk me off as I troll on the internet and play with my X Box 360
