Well most of the shit we discuss on this forum usually hasn't got anything to do with anyone here. That doesn't mean we can't give our 2cents worth.
I'm sure barry couldn't give a toss about what we all think but the point is a public forum is about opinions, whether we have a right to say anything is irrelevant.
Barry, I suspect you might dodge this question but for what its worth if it was entirely your decision would you have done the deal?

Sasky, if I didn't give a rat's ass, why would I waste my time posting here?
Have I dodged a lot of questions around here?
Who the fork else do you know in my position that comes on here and goes toe to toe with some of the most ill-informed and illiterate members of the entire South African racing fraternity? You make the inhabitants of "Animal House" look like Rhode Scholars!
But I love you guys, especially the best of you. I really like Dave and Bob and Magic and Tommy and a bunch of others. I tolerate as best I can the challenged posters.
What was the question again? I got so carried away with my witty prose I forgot the stoopid question.
Oh yeah, if the decision rested upon my shoulders, would I have sold the horse?
I will answer it this way:
1) I am a gambler...a true gambler. When I stopped punting on races and began punting on horses, I learned what a real gamble is. And being a gambler, I naturally don't like to sell if I believe in a horse.
2) However, when one is offered an amount of money that exceeds what one can achieve even if the horse wins the biggest race in the world, even a gambler such as I has to strongly consider it.
3) Last weekend I was a willing seller. Our partners voted 100 percent to sell.
4) Monday we learned that Bold Silvano had been withdrawn. If the offer had come after this scratching, I would not have been a willing seller.

if the UK and US Government can do business with the above mentioned then why cant Barry or anybody for that fact.
In the 70 and 80s the Shah of Iran was put in place by the Americans, Osama Bin Ladin was CIA sponsored and just recently Blair shoke hands on a deal with Gaddaffi.
