Frank the one thing I look for always especially in the maiden ranks for colts and geldings is a horse thats been rested and gelded and is out for his second run after improvement..you often get a good price..then as Pirates very importantly says you really need to watch the gelding going down to the start and if you see he is striding nice and freely..have a go!...win and place

its too unpredictable, you will lose more than you win, winning has more to do with luck than skill,
