Great Game first off welcome to the site..pity your first ever post here started off with "Titch you talk utter rubbish"... but that seems to be the norm of late
if you watch the race in question you will see that he never stops riding as I have discussed ad nauseam in this thread BUT have a look at his ride on Lord Fortwood it is eerily close to the race in question in fact almost a replica ride with the same 2 jockeys and trainers involved in the finish and yet not a word was said about it...the reason is quite simple Lord Fortwood won.. BTW comparing being beaten a short head in a maiden with rape is way way way over the top but your point is noted. as for your point regarding Andrew having a reputation of being dishonest, most jockeys sadly are deemed to be dishonest and that category is not reserved for Andy alone, a point that I vehemently oppose but lets leave that one for another day (

Thanks guys.I read this forum all the time.good one.apologies Titch.just felt peed off.As i said if andrew did give his best and got beat,i apologise.I have been in this game for years as my wife says donkey years and felt differently.
Andrew is a top natural rider, thats something we cant dispute. He is a natural talent but my question is why are other yards not using him often enough.is it becuase of his weight problems or the fact that u neither here nor there with him.Is he just too clever for everyone one.is it because he does it only his way.Glen Kotzen, gary alexander and other trainers have only used him for short periods.why, surely a talent like his is hard to come by.i am not a trainer nor a jockey but just a small business man trying to make it in a competitive world.I would only want to use the best and most competent staff, talented for the job.Thats what contributes to the sucess of my business.i sleep well at nite knowing i have people i trust and are giving their best to the sucess of my business all times. Can we honestly say that about andrew or a few other riders.Thats what we need to ask ourself and if we believe that we are, topic closed. If someone could pls tell me why and the resons for him not used by more big yards i would appreciate it.I am eager to hear other users comments as i think there are a lot of people who make sense in their postings but not u Titch when it came to this posting.(teasing)

GG he could not settle in Jhb and when his children came back to live with him he decided to return home to Capetown, he still rides for Joe Ramsden and owns the aptly named Happy Forever who is stabled with Joe but finds working with Yogas a pleasure and he is now enjoying his racing but he is still battling with his weight..

There are a couple of times I would love to see a split screen showing the vigour and body language of the same jock(not only Andrew by any means) on a winning ride right next to the same jock on a "disappointing" run.

Savasp - i totally agree with you - joke is not the correct word. It is a disgrace! They need to make an example of a few of the senior jocks to get things in order IMO.

I remember years ago in Hong Kong when Chris Munce got caught, the press using computers managed to measure the length of his whip action on horses he was beat on and compared them to ones he won on, clear differences obviously !
