Karl Nesius is a very good jockey, best in Cape Town, imho and was the best in SA, but even with age, he can still make any jockey in SA look below par when he is on song, so u can't fault the man for his skill and ability to ride a racehorse to glory..
This next statement is my honest opinion..the best ride iv seen Karl ride, and obviously made money from was last year..when he rode Flowing Stars to crack her maiden...
I'm not sure if anyone saw that race, or if we can get a replay..but man was that a PERFECTLY timed race.. But that's just my opinion..and its coz I love when horses run on strongly

Zack
All that we are asking is that jockey's are been honest when they give feedback to the punters as to their assessments of their rides, i'm pretty sure most experianced jockey's should know how a horse will more or less perform in a race,That is why Mr. Anton Marcus is the most popular jockey around for a long time, not only because he is a good rider, but also because he is very open and honest to the public, afterall punter's are also part of the racing chain. If we slowly diminish, then surely racing popularity will also decline,so will owners, trainers, and eventually jockeys...

These two men have been champions in Cape Town so many times, which means they win more races than the rest. You imply they are cheating. The only thing we know for sure is you are talking from your pocket and are certainly a net loser..in more ways than one.

Some punters at the Tote are circumspect to back Karl Neisius when he rides a favourite.

Some punters couldn't call a one sided coin toss.

morning Zackpack
im sure Tero is mature enough to understand that this game comes with risk as for me i do make provision in my betting strategy for risk.
i dont think i need to emphasize that the horse racing industry is a business.a business requires a profit making model of which the one we find ourselfs in is a perfect example.ask yourself what is the main source of income for this business? PUNTERS
coming back to poor rides by certain jockeys.if i dont feel like supporting a specific jockey based on his poor performances in certain races then surely that's my choice. if a ride is poor then why try to sugar coat it by using excuses or past reputations of 10-15 years ago that's not relevant nowadays?
we have our year-end function today so i have to go but will pop in again later.keep the racing passion
