Yes he does and can I tell you why, because most of them don't get the oppertunities that the other jocks get. He works hard, i know because i've seen it with my own eyes. He was the only Jock at work on new years day. what wbout Bogaleboile and Devoy? One ride per meeting..The fact is, the more rides a jock gets, the higher his stats, and the jocks that gets so little rides will obviously have low stats. This racing is a shitty game when you look deeper into it

Miss Becky with all due respect and seriously no offence inteneded BUT if a jockey/plasterer is only riding/plastering 1 ride/ 1 metre per meeting/job then maybe time to try his hand at bricklaying/plumbing.

Why not turn all meetings into work rider meetings when they insist on racing in Kimberley

Back to the thread -
1)One would swear that no busses ever break down, except Phumelela's bus.....no cars ever break down nor aeroplanes - only Phumelela's bus.
2)The old bus service was terminated a year or two ago. PGL then paid/contracted a lot more with Avis, for their red luxury bus, very much the same league as the bus which carries the Rugby players to and from matches.
3)This is the first that I have heard of this bus breaking down.
4)I know that part of this contract was standby service and back up.
5)I have no doubt that PGL are onto them bug time, since early this am.
6)Yes, it is a free srevice from PGL. Even visiting Trainers are wellcome to use it and so too Owners.
7)Nobody gets anything like this when visiting any other centre.
So, maybe we can look at it another way.... See the good in it.....acknowlege the principle.
But, rather I go and look at the forum's selections for today, which is why I logged on in the first place. This useless punter has been catching a few PA's lately, since following the forum !!!

And with all due respect Sir, I don't think you are funny, because what do you worry? But if you now were a trainer that barely gets a winner and gets his horses takn away by the owners, then you would keep quiet.. So count your blessings and say thanx that you not one of them, because i know quiet a few

Easy, what you forget is that this bus ALSO transports about 10 gate handlers for the starting stalls, plus 1 stipe these days.
an extra 10 - 12 airtickets would probably kill P................. so what is the solution ? i don't know, but first try & get a RELIABLE BUS CO. that doesn't break down all the time - OR RUN OUT OF FUEL !, as happened about 6 weeks ago !

Elvis, surely the running out of fuel is down to the driver? or would you expect that the CEO of Phumelela also checked in wiht the driver to see if he had topped up?
As for the handlers etc they can come and go as they please, its the jockeys that have pressing matters and need to egt back quick.

Miss Becky,
i fail to see how i have offended you? If a trainer/formula 1 driver cant win then they finnish last and eventually get replaced.
WHY should racing be different? why IS there a culture of "i am owed something" inspite of my lack of ability or luck
I AGREE that luck is a big part but surely Mr Devoy (i am sure he is a ice guy) is not getting rides because of the fact/percveption that he cant get them home OR do you actually think that there is a HUGE conspiracy against certain jockeys?

EASY i THINK YOUR NUMBERS ARE A BIT overstated, ( 3 meetings in Kimb. earn 30 G p.m. ) I DOUBT IT.
you got to be bloody lucky first of all that you get 27 rides in 3 meets. @ 600 odd per ride = R 16,200.00 yes i understand that win & place commission has to be added.
Take into account how many washed out meetings there are in the rainy season ! that's why maybe 1 or 2 jocks live in Kimb. Sipho @ Gavin I think ( some times )

No, you didn't offend me..The thing is, you say now that Devoy can't bring the winners home...okay, did you ever think by yourself why it is like that? Because he gets put on sh*t donkeys. Give him a few good runners and we will talk again

Easy, NO HANDLERS at a meeting means no racing..... they still got to get there on time, they still have to get back.
Kimb. Monday handlers are used at Vaal Tuesday, so now what ?
