Enthusiasm, attitude and homework.I like a bit about most of the presenters, all of them have their strengths and weaknesses. I suppose variety is the spice of life. Shaheen would probably be my favourite.
Oh yes, one more thing...someone who could fill in the quiet intervals when I change channels to check if my sound still works!

Neil p really has the punters best interests at heart, stan elly has a very good eye for horses going down, gavin venter is a breath of fresh air we all have been waiting for and shaheen should be head of tellytrack

Anyone who does not regard this site as a threat to the promotion of horse racing in SA has my vote!

The trouble with presenters in any sport throughout the world is that after a while they believe that they are bigger than the sport and that the show is all about themselves. (just like davetheflower if you get my drift)

@ Ravin it's basically taboo to highlight the contents of ABC via the media and I would be over the moon if we received the credit due to our posters and this site from the powers that be.

For me Shaeen Shaw ticks all the boxes, Jaque Kallis of Teletrack The complete all rounder, top class presenter...
Give everything but up!

OK let's try this sober
As far as I am concerned I have no need to know how much is in any tote pool especially at the start, it is irrelevant info, the bigger the pool has no bearing on the amount of winning tickets, I might be interested that if I was still in the pick6 what the potential payout would be.
I also have no interest in " hearing " what big bens first 3 selections are at Wincanton when it's been covering half the screen for the last 10 mins, in fact I find all the talking before a race and the last minutes crossing to "hear" my 4 selections as the horses are going into the boxes as useless info.
Also the betting and changes which can clearly be seen.
We should down scale and drop all the "crap", the only people that come to mind that can use this info, which is also being scrolled are Stevie Wonder and Al Pacino in Scent of a Woman?
What is probably good for the punter is an "advanced" show eg USO with people like Darryl, who have studied the card giving their inputs and crossing over to trainers/jocks to give inputs on how the well being of the horse is.
So from my side nothing else matters, let me just say that if I was doing a productivity study of Tellytrack, I would be making drastic cuts without any consideration of personalities or who can give useless info to the public at a faster speed.
Maybe I should have another drink?

I have said it before and I will keep repeating
Firstly, tell me something I cant read in a racecard. Ditto about all the blind school talk-talk on betting moves, blah blah
Secondly, if I'm watching on TV then make the experience as if I was at the course. I want to see horses being saddled, I want to see them in the ring, I want to see their eyeballs, I want to hear them fart, I want to see them crap, I want to see horses, horses and more horses.
Thirdly, what else do we do at the course? We talk to people. Maybe there is a logistics problem but take the camera amd mike to some plebian punters, quickly talk to them, ask their opinions, make them feel important that they are also on TV. Talk to them in the bars, by the ring, in the betting queues, but dont tear the ring out of it.
