I went to the TBA complex to fetch my catalogue for the NYS today and saw the TBA museum for the first time....WOW - it is amazing! We have such an an amazing history - I hope I can be part of the future....! I would suggest going to have a look if you haven't seen it yet as it is really world class.

Yes, I've taken a look around. It is pretty impressive and well worth popping into if you're there.

Any idea why the TBA don`t advertise on here(SA BUSIEST horse racing website) yet advertise in other places?

I would say they don't advertise in here because they are The Establishment and they don't want to be seen supporting a forum that might have some ability to criticize them. Sound familiar?

Hi Barry

Things are changing fast at the TBA - we wil become a world class breed society and run world class auctions and put South African bloodstock on the map once and for all!

I welcome all comments and inputs from everyone - that is the only way we will improve our business!
Tom

What is the latest with the export restrictions, we have proved that we have world class horses and I am sure that a massive overseas market would emerge if we had that relaxed or improved. I am aware the MDK, Zuma, Adams and a few others are trying to improve the situation but not sure of the latest?

Our export restrictions are obviously a major focus at the moment and we are throwing more impetus behind it - it looks like we should be exporting to a major racing country before the end of the year, maybe earlier if can agree on a protocol issue we are resolving now.

There is alot of hard work going on behind the scenes and will kepe you all posted as soon as I get more information.

Thank you, can you imagine having feedback like this from Phumelela on a tote payout that their customers are fuming about, just a prompt explanation, we live in hope.

Cheers

I beleive in the impossible and am going to do everything I can to get some new ideas and thinking taking our industry forward.

I was watching some footage of racing in the 80's in SA - unbelievable how brilliant it was! We have to look to the past to understand where we need to go in the future.

We are in change mode - now just need some speed!
