I hate to see any entrepreneur pour their heart and soul into a project and not reap the rewards commensurate with that effort. I wish David nothing but success.

sharkie I know Barry is not running me down,,,we are chatting and I am responding,,, I am merely pointing out and backing up the fact that many people interpret information differently,, Formgrids is not a tipping site,,, it is a tool for racing people to study racing results and get their own use from what they see,, we take the massive amount of racing data and lay it out flat like putting a giant puzzle put together which makes it easy for the user to understand and this alone has a great value to the user, hence the testimonials from the most esteemed professionals ,,, speed figures are useful but mainly point out the higher rated horses, similar to our merit ratings which the HRA handicappers are paid to work out,, the highest Mr horse does not always win the race, you still have to assess the strength of the formlines and take other factors into consideration, this is where Formgrids has its value,, as for money, racing has an obligation to reinvest takeout money back into racing,, the fact that they bury their heads into the ground and don’t support projects like mine are their short comings not mine,, perhaps I will approach to the bookmaker association for funding,,,

Keniza well put,, I couldnt have said it better myself,, you see it as it is,, they fail to understand that the support is to improve the product for racings benifit and not for my pocket,,,

doing all my postings now coz i have to rush off to work,,,
same article www.horsehats.com/Beyer-Speed-Figures.html
"The creation or computation of Beyer Speed figures is a laborious and time consuming process Thankfully, the figures are published in the Daily Racing Form, and the average handicapper can take advantage of them without spending hours compiling data.".
seems like the industry works together in the USA,,,
Barry is Mr Beyer still alive,, if so could you get him to look at Formgrids,, I would love to hear his opinion

Yes, Andy is still alive. I will send him a link to Formgrids and ask him his opinion.
In America, if a product shows that it capable of making money, it is supported. Nothing is done for the greater good of anybody if it is not economically viable, unless the Federal Government does it, and that is not likely in this case.

Thanks Barry, much appreciated,,, my cell no is 27832762749 if he wants a proper heads up,, Formgrids could make plenty cash in the right hands and will still make plenty cash,, We have 15 pages on to-do's so lots more coming,,,I recieved this earlier today,, it was not sent directly to me, but was a reply to Candise from KZN breeders,,
"Absolutely brilliant
in formgrids.co.za, David Safi and his team have developed a fantastic site, the best in the world for those who love mining racing data. He richly deserves any accolades received. The new feature on breeding is another big winner"
Alec Hogg
Barry the main feature on Formgrids is the form developing out of any results,, we call this formlines, and as they develop with runners performances they highlight the strength of the race they have come out of

Mr. A.
Formlines as you call them are as old as racing itself.
If all people in Europe or America had to go on was formlines, we would be in deep doo doo.
I told you this when I met you and I am telling you again...you need to up your game and include some ratings or partners with somebody that has got them, or you don't have a product worth paying money for.
That's the bottom line.

Barry as I said earlier every horse has a figure, its normally given by the districts official handicapper whom is normally employed by the districts racing authority,,, its called a merit rating in SA, but that does not help to find winners, except some times in a set weight race or some plate races etc,, and this is only a guide, and only helps when they run to form which is one in three or so average worldwide, anyway we have them on Formgrids,,, so what may I ask are De Kock, Fortune, Marcus, Cormack, Riddle going on about if you are correct,

A Merit Rating is like a Jockey Club rating. They are too static and don't often change much.
Just like Ebony Flyer staying at 107 for a year and a half.
The kind of speed figures to which I refer are individual for EACH race.
You are living in the 1950s my friend. Hey, I liked the 50s! But I'd rather do business with the tools of the 2010s.
I will tell you why those guys are using your stuff...because it is a handy reference.
But form lines stopped being the most relevant tool about 60 years ago.
Your product is nice. But it needs some updating to be commercially viable.

Barry a horse race is a horse race, it’s the same today as a horse race was in the 50's, it consists of horses with 4 legs,, jockeys +- 120 lbs,, a bridle and a saddle,, run on a racetrack,,, nothing has changed,, times may have been bettered by a second or so over distances in 50 years or so,, the trouble with some guys is they complicate their racing too much,, can you ever hear your countries champion jockey saying he is addicted to drf or another horseracing website,,
As for jockey club merit ratings, they are very accurate,, over the years we only seen a small handful of trainers contest his runners figure and in most cases the handicapper has been proved right,, and weights in most individual races are allocated according to the MR,,,,except your WFA and a few others,, as you know,,,besides Barry it is well documented how I put 13 Bruma tattersalls bookmakers under huge pressure , ended up where several of them wouldn’t even allow me to have a bet with them,, and all this by using a irrelevent tool,,, and not using a single speed figure,,,for your sake I repeat SA heavyweight champion jockey Andrew Fortunes quote
"I live on Formgrids, I don't know how racing would go on without it, It helped me to win my championship"
We must be a backward racing country,,,
