Kittycatoo, I dont remember that race off hand but it has never been a point of discussion at races or track or even in the pub anywhere. If Jeff made a mistake then that is all it was. He would certainly not be trying to do that on purpose, especially in the July . Now you want to compare blatant cruelty to horses to a possible mistake. You obviously have NO clue what was going on at Ashburton in his yard. He should have been drawn and quartered let alone anything else.

Many but the 1 I remember was being in posession of scheduled drugs. The reason I am sure of that is I was with the Breeder that he tried to blame for the drugs and he told me the story. Many of the drugs found, breeders would not use. He was apparently doing his own medicating when not knowing anything about it. I think his assistant testified against him after seeing what he was doing to the horses. I know the Vets got involved to try fix some of them but some were too far gone I gather.

Craig how would trainers feel about having him back...there is a reasonable chance that this could happpen...apparently no drugs were ever found only documentation relating to prohibited substances...also a former prominent owner has pledged support and is willing to buy for him.

Fc, your story is different to what I heard. I will check on the inquiry and see what he was barred for. I gather the evidence against him was very good and tight. Will do some investigating but if the NHRA were right I dont think anyone wants him near a course or a horse again.
