isidingo and horse racing

story line started off a few days ago with the guy winning, then losing because he realised the use of performance enhancing drugs is rife in horse racing so he moves onto soccer bets

The public perception of horse racing is in the gutters

Any opinions

everything is fine when they win!!!
then they drag the sport through the mud when they lose....
The public perception is poor on this sport and deteriorating every day with the performance enhancement drug issue
Somehow if you are a race horse owner, you are associated with this "negativity" :(

Nothing to worry about - my fiance watches this and during that time there has been an alcoholic, drug addict and now a gambler(and more bed-hoping than your local cathouse) - they all become addicted in minutes and get cured in the same time. Really poor show and what they should do is have a helpline number at the end of the show for viewers addicted to bad TV.

If you hook them they stay longer cause they have the belief that they will be the woman that gets you to give up the evil!!

The biggest damage to the sports image is inflicted by the people that are perceived to be "insiders" by those on the outside looking in who listen to the largely groundless banter about crooked jockeys drugged horses bent stipes and how much skulduggery is going on when in fact the authors of this BS are as clueless about the facts as the unknowing who listen to them...a typical example of this is the moron johannm who came on line the other day and cried foul becoz a 2nd favourite had been back heavily and claimed that he "had a lot more to show the racing world about the cancer and corruption" when the time was right, there can be little doubt that had the original favourite been slow into stride or found trouble in running he would have been back before the weigh in had taken place blowing his trumpet and doing a "I told you so" jig...as it turns out the favourite was given a perfect ride and enjoyed a trouble free run only to get its head kicked in, needless to say the silence from his side is deafening (thankfully)...these are the people that do the industry the most damage and all this to suit their own agendas.... at one time or another we all rant and rave about a bad ride or what appears to be a suspicious result when we have done our money and are entitled to our outbursts but when all is said and done we soldier on, there must be many many would be punters/owners that would have been actively involved in the industry had they not listened to the johanm/harris half wits of the world and walked away without even putting their feet in the water...
Give everything but up!
