That is shocking and if it is the case then heads will roll...a horse cannot run unless the passport is presented before a race meeting??

No mention of it in the stipes report :S:S

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:

a) DYNAMIC DYNASTY, the winner (M Yeni). Selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J A Visser advised (GT).
b) DYNAMIC DYNASTY – raced without blinkers (declared 5 November 2012 / 07H09).
c) BUBBLY BELLINI – Jockey S Nhlapo weighed out at 54,6kg, 0,5kg over the 0,5kg declared on 5 November 2012 at 08H48.
Give everything but up!

Just checked on the procedure for cases like this and was inform of the following:-
all horses are chipped as a back up and can will be scanned if the passport is mislaid and a copy of the center page off the horses passport which is kept in Jhb would be faxed through to Kim for inspection purposes

The reason that Dynamic Dynasty did not have a passport on course was because the transport has not been paid and New Turf is holding the passport as security.

The owner told us to keep the passport until we were paid.

We reported this to the stipes on course and were told that it was not an NHRA matter. As far as we know the horse raced on a microchip number. On checking the passport the horses Fluvac is already out of date so that wasn't checked.

To date the transport is still not paid

Good for you New Turf Carriers! I really hope you get paid. You should keep the horse until you do get paid - FAR too many non-payers in this game! And the NHRA might as well not even exist in this regard. If trainers don't pay rent/ noms etc to the racing operator, they can't nominate or race. But there is no help from anyone to get clients to pay. One of the reasons I gave up training as a bad joke - I'm a horsewoman, not a flippen debt collector. And when they finally DO pay, it's like they're doing you a favour!!! Horses and staff need to eat. Pay your bills please. (Not all owners are like this, but there are a LOT of those that are, and they are *repeat* offenders)

New Turf, contact Racing Control Manager ,Mr Denzil Pillay with this issue, it's amazing the stipes
Allowed this horse to run and said that this was not an Nhra matter, maybe you dnt need a valid
Passport to run in Kimberley, just present the horse at the course and you will be illegible to run.
I race in the east cape and here we use valid passports.

I wonder if anyone from NHRA will come on to this forum and explain. Don't hold your breath. Unbelievable.

In A Rush, you are correct however we left a message with NHRA for Denzil Pillay 5 weeks ago regarding another bad payer and still havnt had the courtesy of a returned phone call.

The problem is that they get their salary every month no matter wether racing is dying or not.

Perhaps they should be on an incentive scheme.......Get the game right then you get paid
