Flash Harry, I was not being sarcastic at all.
Sorry to disappoint you.
I guess being a non-South African, I cannot see the important of the local riders have their colors.
I fully understand the rest of it in the broader sense.
Still seems overblown to me.
But I realize there are a lot of under currents because of the way the current powers that be choose to conduct themselves.
By the way, your posts are practically impossible to decipher.

Could be a storm in a tea cup, wonder if it will fall away in future?

....I wonder who they will offer up as an International should there be anymore cancellations or one of the guys be stood down on a race day....do we have any spare Island guys here as reserves or any other jocks with foreign standing....we may see Jeff Lloyd swap sides as he can bat for both....

Agree NO fireworks .Is that NOT what Barry was saying ?
What do's it mean to the jockeys not getting colours ?

The colours are not the issue Barry, who cares. The problem is when our representatives call for the journalist reporting to be got rid off, and in this case the "legal" person is a member of the racing community who was raising.
Isn't that the slippery slope? Blaming the reporter for the news? It's not like they could dictate.

for the first time in a long time, or ever, as far as I can think back, our press has a voice. And that is how it should be. So those in leadership can have reflection on their decisions and operations.

Well, I’ve had quite an interesting weekend!
I popped out early on Saturday morning to prep a horse for a show and was perched on a bucket with a mouth full of plaiting elastics when my phone rang. I received some unexpected airtime on Tellytrack’s Under Starters Orders programme hosted by Shaheen Shaw. Mr Larry Wainstein was the studio guest invited to discuss the forthcoming Jockey Challenge.
For those who missed the live version, the footage is also available on Youtube (Larry Weinstein on Under Starters Orders regarding International Jockey’s Challenge).
If you’ll allow me a quick horse psychology analogy – horses are flight animals and will usually seek to avoid conflict at all costs. However, when they feel their options are exhausted, they will retaliate in order to defend themselves. As Mr Wainstein alludes in his interview, I have been involved in this matter for some time now. However, I’ve refrained from saying anything in my column or anywhere else that might affect the challenge while discussions have been on-going. However, as Mr Wainstein has seen fit to make some fairly bold statements on national television no less, I have decided that Mr Wainstein warrants a public response.read Robyns response
