The greatest bettig coup in my 30 odd years of racing,

Mike Burns was the jockey Syd Laird the trainer Newmarket race 9 last of the day.

imitless a maiden beaten many lengths on debut was runing in a D division and the money poured on in cash .
An Alberton buisness man in transport was running around the bookies ring placing cash everywere he could get a bet.

33-1 started 5-1 won by a distance and Pieter Koekemoer won around 300 000 in around 1985 ,thats the best coup i remember.

2nd best Scott Kenney

3 horses running in race 2 at newmarket
fav was trained by Robert Maroun and Scott had 3 horses in race all 1st timers.

First bluff money arrived for horse ridden by i forget then bluff money for stable companion ridden by Felix the last 5 minutes atomb bombs arrive for Cardinal Sin and W mawing still an appie.

Cardinal Sin won by Half A length.

Anyone remember

Kiev is correct.
i thought was first base.
Passmore brian Cherry were good and David Payne started a few good coups in steel but
the Late Mike Rilley was great even though he died poor he could line up a horse.
He even used a lady jock to get money.

Mark Dixon lined up a few

But the greatest coup i can say i was involved in was with handbrake van whyk

Light Linda all to come Vishysoise at newmarket race 1 and 2.

7 to1 atc7 to 1 .

both shit in and vaan whyk got the lot.

Technically, this is not a coup, its fraud. I think it was Kiev and the trainer was part time with a full time job as a headmaster? I think there is a thread on this.
