Easy you can do all that at the tracks in SA but cheeper than in France, whats your point?

Same old story the punters want the bookies and the operators want the lot

Easy, look at our tote facilities they are up to shit, phone service is lousy, a online website that crashes more often than not... The operator cares fark all about its patrons here.

I don't think there is a punter who would not accept a move to Tote only betting provided that :
a)a fixed price product was included
b) national tote pools but competition between service providers based on a tender basis.

Interesting that the operators are the greatest opposition to the bookmakers worst nightmare.........the fixed price tote!

Can u imagine how well the tote would thrive if the operators had a Hollywood mentality towards its customer base?

The tote can work but it wont sustain competition with an 18% takeout ...

you make no point at all. The masses, yes the masses dont know/care about %'s they want a product that is well presented well delivered and well promoted. The rest follows suit. YOU cant honestly tell me its more exciting to go to a casino and risk your cash on a wheel with a 2.8% house edge than going racing BUT if you go racing and your experience is shyte then of course you go to a casino

Racing has a stigma, racing instead of being on the back foot should be on the offensive, CHARM offensive.

EVERY single day on here people post their selections BUT the selections MOST talked about are the TOTE bets (even though most are now the open bet) BUT its still the tote bet that offers the DREAM/VALUE/HUGE GET OUT and that you can take to the bank........

playing R2 and winning R2000 happens more on a racecourse than in a casino......they should be promoting racing but they don't....

Like you I think, I hate "gambling". I can't remember the last time I was in a casino. For me, its not really about the punt as I'd much rather see a champion kick the turf with his hoof as he is just about to unwind an eye catching run. That's why we are still here. Only you and me, and some other guys on ABC, everyone else has left for the cheaper gambling. Well that's what I think .. sad ... :(
