Don't you know that they have more important things to do by enforcing their laws against Kom Naidoo sub letting stables and seeing to Gavin Venters hearings

Kimberley has for many years been considered "the last stop saloon" for horses that are in their place or not good enough to earn at bigger centers, the fact that a vast majority of these are stabled with trainers on a 50/50 deal basis with no stabling fees only serves to highlight the amount of faith owners have in these horses, if the horse proves to be unable to pay his/her way and becomes a financial burden then the trainer has every right to terminate the deal which happens more often than not and would obviously lead to a big turnover in horses..should the owner wish to transport these to another center or to retire the horse at their cost then that is their prerogative but what happens 99.9% of the time is the owners wash their hands of the horse and instruct the trainer to sell the horse on to avoid any further costs being inccured ..I think the worlds worst kept secret is that redfeather has in all 2 of his posts been referring to the Jaap Visser yard but in his rush to judgement fails to mention the horses that have raced for the yard for a long while and continue to earn, so are obviously not showing the side effects that he talks about...
Eye of The World joined the yard 2010 last ran 03/08/13 and still going strong
Golden Occasion 2009-2012 retired as a 9 year old
Pisces Star raced for 13 months won 7 and was retired sound to stud
Metro Man joined the yard in March 2012 and continues to earn
Big Daddy arrived a year ago still going strong
could it be that some horses are affected and others not by, quote "The substance that gets used" or is this just a case of sour grapes?? who knows...:S :S

Guys you wasting your time going head to head with Titch. Muzi rides for the Visser's and Titch is firmly in the camp. I got into a few battles with Titch but I must confess he eventually prevailed as his endless one sided replies battled me into submission. Now I just agree with him (:P)

You are right Titch. This is serious stuff. Evidence was given to the stipes in Kbly on race day, no word from the NHA till now. Why no pre-race testing on horses or even testing during the week.
Horses that get their AHS and Equine flu done by a Jhb vet, we don’t hear anything about an investigation. Then I’m referring back to the time it was reported to the NHA about the horse “Dynamic Dynasty” that was accepted without a passport (trainer was fined), not too long after that “Ochi du Lupo“ was accepted to run on the Monday while it was still in Durban. The horse was scratched.
How many times can certain trainers get away with breaking the NHA rules. Are there officials involved in this yard?
Titch you must also get your facts straight. Only a vast majority of horses in the Visser yard are on a 50/50 deal. Thats why I mentioned in my previous post that because of all these leased horses they cannot fullfill their financial commitments. You mentioned 5 horses that stayed on to race. Well I can give you a list of horses that only win 1 or 2 races and then it also the end of them. I will name you a few.
Karlo – started racing in January – poor form then ran 3rd 7.5l behind on 08/04, then he won over a
2200m way out in the weights on 13/05, 4th 8.00l behind on 03/06, 7th 9,75l behind on
10/06, 3rd 6,50l behind on 01/07, 7th 18.25l behind on 15/07, 9th 10.25l behind on 29/07,
14th 99l behind on 03/08 – any punter’s nightmare
Desert Rat – started racing in January – poor form then 1st on 04/03, 4th 8,5l behind 08/04, 4th 7,5l
behind on 15/04, 3rd 1l behind on 22/04, 3rd 4.5l behind on 06/05, 4th 13,5l behind on
20/05, 7th 11,5l behind on 03/06, 1st beating Kruger Gold by 10,75l on 10/06, 8th
14l behind on 01/07, 8th 18.75l behind on 15/07

Dynamic Dynasty – started racing in November 2012 – 1st run won by 5l on 05/11, 3rd 1,5l behind on
19/11, 1st won by 5,75l behind on 26/11, 2nd 3,25l behind on 10/12, 7th 17l
behind on 07/01(last run)

Mahogany – poor form ran 2nd 5,25l behind on 01/07, won by 2,25l on 15/07, 8th 10l behind on
29/07, 11th 21l behind on 03/08

Snow Garland – came to them with poor form, 1st won by 1,5l on 10/06, 6th 10.75l behind on 01/07,
2nd 1,75l behind on 15/07, 7th, 5,75l behind on 29/07, 7th 8,75l behind on 19/08

I can go on with the list. This is not to say that you don’t get horses with inconsistent form, but with the Visser yard there is a pattern.

I know for a fact that Whistle for Gold only left Cape Town the Wednesday before it shed it's maiden on the Monday.
